Chapter 19 ~ Darcy's First Day of Preschool

Laura's Pov

*3 months later*

Things have been going so great with me and Haz. Everything is basically back to normal. Darcy is starting preschool today and she's so excited. Her and Leslie are going to be in the same class, which makes me feel a little bit better about her going. I woke up to Darcy jumping on me.

"Good morning baby girl." "Mama. I start preschool today."

"I know princess." "You're taking me, right?"

"Yes. Me and daddy are gonna drop you and Leslie off. And Aunt Ana and Uncle Lou are going to pick you guys up." "Are you gonna leave right away?"

"I won't stay super long. But I'll get you settled." She nodded and I got out of bed and picked her up.

"Let's let daddy sleep a little longer while we go make some breakfast."

I took her downstairs and went in the kitchen. I sat her on the counter and said, "What do you think about having some french toast?"

"And some fruit?" "Sure baby girl."

We made the french toast and after it was finished I made Darcy a plate and said, "I'll be right back sweetie. I'm gonna go wake daddy up."

She nodded and started eating her breakfast. I went upstairs and sat on the bed next to Harry.

"Babe get up. We gotta get ready to take Darcy to school." He just groaned and laid his head on my lap.

"C'mon Babe. You gotta get up." "I don't feel good."

"You can't miss her first day. She's so excited." "Can i come back and sleep after we drop her off?"

"Sure Babe. Just let the guys know you aren't coming to the studio." He nodded and sat up.

"Come downstairs and eat something. I made french toast." "Okay. I'm coming."

He got off the bed and we both went downstairs. He sat at the table and I gave him his plate. After we all finished eating I took Darc up to her room and Haz went in our room to get dressed.

I sat Darcy on her bed and said, "Alright baby girl. Let's get you dressed."

I put her in a navy romper and put white converse on her. I brushed her hair out and put it in a ponytail.

"Let's go brush your teeth baby girl." I took her in the bathroom and helped her brush her teeth. Once that was done I took her in my room and sat her on the bed next to Haz.

"I'm gonna go get dressed. Can you keep an eye on her?" He nodded and I went in the bathroom.

I put on a sweatshirt and light wash jean shorts. I brushed my hair and put it up in a messy bun. I brushed my teeth and walked out of the bathroom.

I picked Darcy up and said, "You two ready?" They nodded and we went out to the car.

We drove to Lou's house and went inside. Leslie ran over to me and said, "Auntie! I start preschool today!"

"I know sweet pea." Ana came in with Michael and said, "Can you believe our babies are starting preschool?"

"It's crazy. I feel like I was just finding out I was pregnant with her yesterday." "It's crazy."

Haz said, "You guys think it's hard on you. Try being the dad and your little girl is going to her first day of school." Lou came in and said, "Exactly. It's harder on the dads."

I rolled my eyes and said, "We need to get going soon."

Everyone said their goodbyes and me and Haz took Darc and Leslie to school. We walked them inside and got them settled. As we were about to leave Darcy ran over to me and said, "Don't go mama."
