Chapter 26 ~ Gender Reveal Day

Laura's Pov

*1 month later*

So we've been in LA for a little over a month now, and today is our gender reveal. The boys have been working really hard on it, with some help from the girls of course, and Harry says that it's amazing. They're currently out in the backyard getting everything set up, and I'm inside with Haz and Darc.

Haz is in charge of making sure I don't look outside or try to get a sneak peek at anything. Not that it would matter, because I won't be able to figure out the genders. They won't even tell me how we're doing the reveal.

Lou went with us to our appointment a few days ago so he could get the envelope with the genders and make sure neither of us looked at it. He was keeping such a close eye on us during the appointment to make sure we wouldn't see it. It's our fault for letting him be in charge. We should've known he would be this way.

Haz said, "Babe. I can see that you want to go out and look, but you can't. Why don't you go get ready?" "Fine. I'll go get ready. But I swear, if you get to see everything before I do, I'm killing you and Lou."

"Babe. I won't go out there without you. I promise." "Okay. Now you two stay out of trouble."

Darc said, "Mama we'll be fine. Now go get ready." "Okay sassy pants, I'll go get ready."

I got up and went up to Haz and I's room. I took a shower and got dressed. I curled my hair and did my makeup.

Once I was ready, I went downstairs and took Darc from Haz. I said, "Baby. Go get ready. I'm gonna get Darc ready." He nodded and we went upstairs. He went into our room and I took Darc into hers.

She said, "Mama. Do you think I'm gonna get a brother?" "Maybe. You might even get two."

"But what do you think you're having?" "I don't know baby girl."

I got her dressed in a romper and a cardigan. I put her hair in pigtails and picked her up. We went downstairs and Haz said, "Lou said we can go outback now."

"Finally." We went out back and it was gorgeous. Lou really outdid himself.

Darcy said, "Mama! When do we find out?" "Soon baby girl."

Lou came over to us and said, "I bet you're glad you put me in charge." I rolled my eyes and said, "Yes Lou. I love it. You did amazing."

Soon everyone had showed up and it was almost time for the reveal. Ki said, "Why won't you tell me what you think you're having?"

"I don't know what I'm having. I don't even have an opinion. I mean. With Darc, I knew. But with this pregnancy, I have no clue." "Fine. I'll accept that answer."

Haz grabbed me and said, "C'mon baby. Lou says it's time." I nodded and went over to Lou.

He handed each of us a tube and said, "These are smoke bombs. Just twist them when I finish the countdown. Haz has baby A and Laura, you have baby B." We nodded and Lou got everyone's attention.

He said, "So everyone! It's time for the reveal. We're going to do a 3-second countdown and then they're going to do the smoke bomb reveal. Harry has the gender for baby A, and Laura has the gender for baby B."

He did the countdown and we twisted the smoke bombs. Haz had blue and I had pink.

Haz hugged me and said, "One of each baby." "A boy and a girl. I can't believe it."

He kissed me and wiped my tears. Everyone congratulated us, and at around 6, everyone was gone. Haz and the lads cleaned up the backyard, and the girls and I hung out inside with the kids.

Darc said, "Mama. What are you gonna name the babies?" "I don't know sweet pea. I have to talk to daddy about that. And your aunts and uncles are going to give us name ideas to help us pick."

"Can I help pick their names?" "Sure baby. Once me and Daddy have narrowed it down, we'll let you pick your favorite."

Soon the boys were done cleaning up, and it was just me, Haz, and Darc at the house. I put Darc to bed at 9, and Haz and I went into our room. We got changed and he pulled me down on the bed. He rubbed my belly and said, "We've got one of each in there baby girl. I'm not sure how Darc is gonna feel not being her daddy's only princess."

"She'll be fine. She already loves her younger siblings and they aren't even here yet." He kissed me and said, "I love you."

"I love you too baby." Haz turned on the tv and it didn't take long for me to fall asleep.
