Synopsis:
Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city—a place where vicious creatures called "ghouls" exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh. However, the greatest threat these ghouls pose is their dangerous ability to masquerade as humans and blend in with society.
Review:
I watched this anime before watching "Erased" 3 years ago. I was new to anime that time, but of course as a kid I was already exposed to anime such as Detective Conan, Dragon Ball Z, Slam dunk etc. you know the classics. But Tokyo Ghoul is my first anime as a young adult and that time when I watched it, I really liked and enjoyed it because I am fond of gory and morbid animation.
The first season was really cool and back then, I like shows where the main character starts from being a cinnamon and then turns out to be a total badass as the story advances; that led me to watch Parasyte because I think they are quite similar. The fight scenes in Tokyo Ghoul are pretty cool too.
In the second season of the show, I still like it but there are so many plot holes and as the story carries on, the show is leading its way down the dumps, that's why I decided not to watch S3 anymore. I watched the first episode of S3, but nothing is making sense so I dropped it. But I still recommend you to watch it if you are an avid fan of cool fight scenes and gory animations, you will enjoy the show.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the 1-2 of the show, but it's up to you if you want to continue S3. Try to watch the first episode of the third season. If you liked it then I'll be damned but it's you, and that is how you feel about the show so I won't stop you from giving it a try. You might enjoy it; unlike me, but that's fine, you can comment your thoughts in the comment section. Thank you
If you are in the mood for dark fantasy and horror right now, this one's for you.
