Synopsis:

Energy-conservative high school student Houtarou Oreki ends up with more than he bargained for when he signs up for the Classics Club at his sister's behest—especially when he realizes how deep-rooted the club's history really is. Begrudgingly, Oreki is dragged into an investigation concerning the 45-year-old mystery that surrounds the club room.

Accompanied by his fellow club members, the knowledgeable Satoshi Fukube, the stern but benign Mayaka Ibara, and the ever-curious Eru Chitanda, Oreki must combat deadlines and lack of information with resourcefulness and hidden talent, in order to not only find the truth buried beneath the dust of works created years before them, but of other small side cases as well.

Review:

I've read a lot of reviews hating on this show, their reason being that it's boring and that the mystery element is really bland. Bitch, you came in for a Slice of Life  (SoL) genre and you complain that it's boring? Are you not aware of what the SoL genre is? Maybe you are that dumb that you watched SoL expecting a lot of hype, and hate the show because it did not meet your expectations. If you are not in for SoL, then don't watch, and don't compare it to other shows with a different genre, don't compare apple to orange, we don't need more people hating on this show just because it didn't meet their hype expectation.

If you are in for a calm ride, and just want to watch a relaxing show, then this is for you. For an SoL anime, this is a pretty good one. The message of the show is that even in our boring daily lives the littlest things can be a mystery, it doesn't always have to be murder and all that violence mystery, look around you, there's mystery everywhere waiting to be solved. If you are looking for a romance show, then you're in the wrong place, though this show has some romance subplot to it it doesn't delve deeper into it.

I'm going to remind you again that this show is a Slice of Life with the mix of mystery, do not expect some major story arc. Just consider it as a calm show and enjoy the show as it is.
