Synopsis:
The Abyss—a gaping chasm stretching down into the depths of the earth, filled with mysterious creatures and relics from a time long past. How did it come to be? What lies at the bottom? Countless brave individuals, known as Divers, have sought to solve these mysteries of the Abyss, fearlessly descending into its darkest realms. The best and bravest of the Divers, the White Whistles, are hailed as legends by those who remain on the surface.
Review:
The first episode showed the premise of the anime, and it instantly hooked me but I don't know about you, try watching it and watch yourself be immersed to the show before you know it. Imagine in the real world where only 5% of the sea is discovered, and yes it makes you curious and all, but in this anime they have this abyss. The first episode lures you into wanting to see more because it teases your curiosity. The world is well-built and it is great that how much of it is still left unsaid that will make you one with the characters. You want to know what it is down the abyss, you want to go deeper and explore it, you are part of the journey.
WARNING: Don't judge an anime by its art. Yes, the characters look cute and all but please do not be deceived and I also prohibit you from letting the youngsters watch this, unless you want to give them trauma.
If you watched and liked Promised Neverland, Made in abyss gives you the same vibes. They are two completely different shows in terms of story but they both give you that dark atmosphere. This show is pretty underrated so if you want to take a break from all of that degeneracies, activate your curiosity and witness a good show, do yourself a favor and watch this now.
