Synopsis:
Few alchemists obtain a secretive elixir of life from the 'demon'. When some of them begin disappearing, the alchemists decide to scatter themselves all over the world. What happens when they reunite?
Review:
Do you want a show that is set in 1930s America? Are you tired of disappointing anime? Do you like immortal mafias? Do you want to ride a train named 'Flying pussyfoot'? If yes then, this show is for you.
The show doesn't have a main character. Basically, it is an ensemble that shows us the story of different characters and what happened in different years. If you are going to watch this show, you need to really pay attention because it uses a unique way of telling the story and there are a lot of family names to remember because of the mafia thing (Not that numerous though, but I'll give you the list if you need it. And yes I wrote it down while watching so I won't be confused). The occurrences shown in the show are not arranged chronologically but don't worry if you feel dumb and confused in the first three episodes, because when you continue watching and if you piece it all up, everything is part of a bigger picture. This story has no beginning and no end.
Another thing that I really like about this show is the soundtrack or the opening song of the show: 'Guns & Roses' it's really good, you really feel like you're a mafia in 1930s America while listening to it. I am also surprised that this show is underrated. Even though it is an anime from 2007, it still deserves more recognition. This anime not only has action and thriller, but it also has comedy in it. If you're getting confused and all, please do not drop the show and be patient, you'll understand it later on.
Warning: it is not suitable to watch it with kids, it's gory.

Kissanime. It's only 13 episodes long and I finished it in one afternoon. There's also 3 OVAs so there's 16 episodes in all.
