A squad in the games

Chapter one into the fire

[ arriving dropzone in 5 minutes]

[teams will be announced in 2 minutes]

Blares the announcing voice aboard the dropship

"First match of the season;you may as well already quit because I'm winning this thing" says mirage to his group of fans waiting for their teams. Wraith overhears mirage and rolls her eyes. The voices in her head tell her "Be on guard, this match won't be easy."

The happy MRVN unit know as pathfinder explains to the new apex predators that the first match is for legends and predators only and says " from what I have gained, this match will be the most entertaining and everybody will watch us from the screens like on my chest"

Bangalore comes over to pathfinder and says "buckle up ladies, first match is always the hardest" as she then explains all of pathfinders grammatical errors due to lack of knowledge of the world.

[Announcing teams now]

Interrupts the announcer as each banner lights up with a variety of legends and preds.

Octane runs over to his teammate and introduces himself. "I'm Octane and you must be Wattso-" he stumbles on his words as he realizes her beauty and instantly tries to strike a conversation before being interrupted by her saying 

" I know you, you're the speedy daredevil."

Octane mutters something in spanish as wattson shows him her gear.

On the other side of the ship Mirage is annoyed by the robot as he announces "Hello friend, I think we are on the same team." 

"Of course we are." Mirage states in a flat voice while glancing over at wraith; the silent one who is barely even talking to her teammate.

Wraiths teammate, a new pred strait from diamond jokes about how the new legend loba got paired with the murder bot, revenant. Wraith grins at the fact and knows that this game is going to be different .

Bloodhound sharpens their blade as the teammate glances over to the teams: Caustic and lifeline, Bangalore and a random, Gibbraltar and crypto, and a few others knowing that he would only have to worry about the legend squads due to bloodhounds profound skills.

[Arriving at dropzone in one minute]

"Are you ready friend?" asks pathfinder.

"I am so ready that ready is an understat-underst- below average" Mirage reluctantly answers.

The other side is bubbling with excitement as Octane yells "Come on mija, hurry up; I can't wait for the rush."

"You can't rush 1.2 million volts, get it?" Wattson says jokingly to his remarks. As she overhears an argument she turns her head to see the problem

"you're just a piece of metal" Loba screams before releasing a series of swears

"You're just another skinsuit" Revenant ramarks "just like your father".

"I will kill you, something he could not" she says lowering her tone realizing they were gaining a crowd

Revenant looked at the others and said "you already know, I'm going to kill you today" and everybody resumed their conversations.

"Get a load of this guy" Mirage says nudging the closest person; as in this case wraith. wraith instantly pulls away and glares him in the eyes and saw an alternate timeline unfold inside them

After a couple of seconds pathfinder interrupts them and says "get ready friends, 20 seconds left"

Wraith and mirage both share visible confusion on their faces before being startled by the announcer

[Approaching dropzone]

All the squads got up from their seats with a sad look knowing most of them would die and be respawned except for Octane, as normal being giddy like a child on Christmas.

[Drop hatches are now open]

the announcer adds as the alarms blare for the hatches

"See you on the other side" mirage says before jumping with the others.

"Am I supposed to follow him?" pathfinder questions when his own banner stated that he was jump master

"He's crazy" wraith silently remarks before pathfinder trips over someones foot

"He's not the only one" Octane yells before telling Wattson "Come on amigo, jump"

Wraith rolls her eyes at the squads and jumps toward the lab to get warmed up in the voidplain while going in the large portal hovering above the ground.
