Chapter 22 Weird Game

(Timeskip)

"I've got 4 kills and I'm running an R99 and longbow, you?" Wraith asked

"Since you took all the good loot Path and I both got triple takes and hemlocks with one kill each" Mirage responded

"The latest beacon scan showed me showed me the second to last ring is close and the banner said that it was only two enemy squads left" Pathfinder said

As Mirage was about to speak the sound of gunfire erupted from the east direction

"let's third party them, come on" Wraith said as she opened a portal close to the firefight

(timeskip)

As Wraith ran she was about to fire upon the enemy but stopped when she saw a wounded Alex behind a rock barely holding on the fight while Sam was downed with Nates banner in his hand

"What happened here?" Wraith asked

"These guys are killing us, they are also kill leader with 23 kills total" Alex responded

Wraith started talking again "We have to get them, how do they attack"

Alex responded "Well first they surprised us with three-"

"Arc star, Get down!" Wraith yelled"

Wraith got downed as Alex's squad got obliterated while Path and Mirage dove out of the way

"Wraith!" Mirage yelled

"Mirage, Watch out" Pathfinder said as he got headshoted while pushing Mirage to the floor

"Damn it Path, Not you too" Mirage said

Mirage sent his decoys out distracting the enemy while he went to go heal Wraith

"You all right" Mirage asked

"Tis but a flesh wound" Wraith responded

"Good now we need to-" Mirage started but was cut off

"It's you two again, surprised that you're still alive" A man from above them said

"Yeah well I could say the same" Mirage said as he pulled out his Hemlock and started firing on him

"You sure have a Deathwish" The man said as he chased after him

Wraith voidskiped away the heal and from afar saw Mirage bringing the whole group together. He had draw them so close that he threw a decoy ahead of him, climbed up a boulder and pulled out his iron sighted triple take; He waited until the group was below him, jumped off and shot but missed. Mirage fell to the ground looking up and saw that he missed ever so slightly that he cut off each of their hoods from the cloth of their cloaks revealing two men and a woman. As they turned around they had a look of panic in their faces as the two men fell on their knees trembling and the woman started crying on the floor. The woman was a short cute white blond probably in her mid twenties while one man who was average sized and black had brown hair and was most likely in his late thirties with the last man tan with dark hair, in Early forties and was the tallest of the three 

"Kill us" The woman said

"What?" Mirage asked

"Kill us!" The woman said louder this time

"Why?" Mirage surprisingly asked

This time the tall man spoke "We failed our mission to gather resources and you have revoked our hoods from us"

Mirage grabbed each of the hood from the ground and gave them back while talking "You guys had me on the ropes, you would eventually get me and no one could pull a 1v3 against you, not even Wraith"

"I guess but higher command will not be pleased with us losing the first game, it sends a bad message to our private sponsors" The Brown haired man said

"Since you would have won anyway, I will put my team under surrender" Mirage said

The woman stopped crying, got up, hugged mirage and said "Thank you"
