8 'o' clock am
Dennis and Eugenia have been living together as husband and wife for the past seven months without any issue or problem, Eugenia was eignt months pregnant as that time, she couldn't work, so she was always at home with the maid.
Dennis was ready for work that early morning, Eugenia was trying to help him knot his tie .
"Nora would be coming over today"
Dennis told Eugenia .
"Really?"Eugenia asked.
"Yes,she doesn't have a choice than to be friends with you "Dennis told her with a smile .
"That's nice, I'll try to be as friendly and nice as possible to her when she comes "Eugenia said .
"Yeah, you should "Dennis said giving her a peck on her cheek.
"Do have a nice day at work"Eugenia said as Dennis walked out of the room.
"Alright, tell Chioma to come and close the gate, I might run late toady, because I would be going to the mechanic's workshop after work"he told her as went downstairs.
"OK dear "Eugenia said .
"Chioma"Eugenia called her maid.
"Go and open the gate and make sure you close that gate well"Eugenia ordered .
"OK ma"
Chioma went outside to close the gate before entering the house to continue her chores for the morning.
"You would be going to the market today, to get some foodstuff, my sister in law is coming today "Eugenia told Chioma.
"OK madam"Chioma said nodding her head.
"So when you come back, you would meet me in the study, I need to read some books"Eugenia said and continued .
"Just close the door, since you won't be gone for long, and Nora would soon be here" she said .
"Ok madam, so you won't lock the gate "Chioma asked.
"I can't come outside, I am tired just close it when Nora comes she would open it, I need to go to the study, I'm bored "she said and moved towards the study.

6 'o'clock pm
Dennis drove into the compound and met the gate opened, not locked, he was so angry and concerned at the same time .
"Eugenia "he called entering into the house but he got no response .
"Nora"he called and continued
"Nora, are you home?"he asked, but he got no response.
"Chioma"he called but got no response .
"What's happening "he asked himself and walked into his room to check for his wife, but she wasn't there.
"Where is she? "he asked himself.
"Could she be in the study as usual?"he asked himself again.
He decided to go to the study and look for her, on getting to the study he met his wife lying helplessly on the ground, in a pool of blood with a knife in her stomach, she had been stabbed.
"Oh my God! Eugenia "he screamed .
He was so confused, he didn't know what to do, he picked his phone to call the police and told them to come with ambulance .
