PRIME SUSPECT

Chapter 7

Eugenia  got to Dennis's house and met Nora at the sitting room, she tried talking  to her but  was completely ignored ,so,she went straight to her boyfriend's room.

"Nora, is that  you? "Dennis asked.

"It'sEugenia "Eugenia  answered.

"Oh! baby,come in"He answered  moving close to the door to embrace  her.

Eugenia  opened  the door and entered  Dennis' room.Immediately she entered  the room,Dennis hugged her.

"I've missed  you  honey "She said  softly .

"I've missed  you more "he replied  holding  her tight.

"Hope you're good?"he asked releasing  her.

"Yes I'm  fine "She said sitting on his bed and continued

"Just  that your  sister  isn't  giving me any chance  to explain  or talk to her"she completed .

"Really? "he asked and continued  as he moved towards the bed to sit beside  her .

" I've  told you before, you don't have to worry about Nora, just calm down and let's  deal with your parents  first.

"Are you sure? "She asked

"Yes honey"he replied

"So what do you have  at home,because I am starving!"she said changing  her cloth.

"I had very tinynoodles  for breakfast this morning ,you can go to the kitchen to prepare anything  you want"he said.

"OK, I am sleeping here overnight" she told him.

Dennis  dropped what he was doing looked at her with a mischievous smile on his face and asked, 

"For real? "he asked

" Yes, for real "she replied

"Whoo" he shouted  happily.

Eugenia  moved to the kitchen to prepare something. As she was  cooking, Nora walked into the kitchen to pick  water from the fridge.

"Hope  you are only cooking for you and Dennis?"she asked opening the fridge.

"I am cooking for you as well"Eugenia replied  looking frustrated.

"I am not hungry, and even if I was  I can cook  for my self , "she said closing  the fridge and pouring the water  into the glass cup.

"But  Nora, you haven't  even  given  me the chance to explain  myself. Is there  any other  thing I've done to offend you apart from me being  your brother's  girlfriend?"She asked looking more frustrated .

Nora laughed  giving Eugenia a bad look .

"Sorry honey, there's nothing to talk about, the fact still remains that you can't and won't  marry my brother,and I am not interested  in whatever  explanation  you have to give me , because  we both knew my brother  had a girlfriend  before  you  agreed to date him and you didn't even give me a hint about what was going on between the two of you ."Nora said angrily.

"OK fine, Nora  I knew  about  Sandra  but...."and before she could complete her sentence. Nora cut in.

"But what Eugenia?"she asked angrily  and continued

"But what?I personally  introduced  you to my  brother as my friend  and I also introduced  you  to my brother's girlfriend  as my friend, you  still went ahead  to date him without  telling me, do you know the emotional  trauma Sandra  went  through after she found out Dennis was cheating on her. She begged me, she thought  I had known about you two  and had refused to tell her"she said.

"I am sorry Nora, but you have to listen to me"Eugenia said

"I am not intrested"Nora said and left the kitchen angrily.

Eugenia  turned off the gas and went straight  to Dennis's room.

"Baby what happened? "Dennis asked .

He noticed  Eugenia  wasn't  smiling  at all.

"Dennis did you tell your sister  what really  happened between you and  Sandra? "she asked backing him.

"She doesn't  want to listen to me"he replied  moving closer to her.

"Dennis  are you sure Nora and I will get along soon?"she  asked facing  him.

"Eugenia, calm down ,you  don't owe anyone an  explanation."he said  moving  her closer .

"Dennis  when we get married will she live   with us? "Eugenia  asked .

"No darling, I will get her an apartment of her own. "he replied her and  continued

"We'll be  fine "he assured her.
