Chapter 19

You know there is another  prime suspect" Nat told Liz while  driving .

"The sister and the ex? "Liz asked

"No"Nat told her.

"The maid? "Liz asked again .

"No "Nat told her again .

"Then who? "Liz asked  looking confused .

"Mr Johnson's friend "He told her.

"I don't get"Liz told Nat.

"When you went outside with Ejiro , I asked Mr  Johnson  some questions, and he told me about the deal he and his friend  made"Nat told Liz.

"What deal? "Liz asked looking more interested.

"He said,his friend gave him 4.3million for his business, then the deal was that, he would invest on his business on the condition that Mr. Johnson would  let Eugenia  marry his  son "Nat said .

"Wow! Interesting, so what happened? "Liz asked.

"He said, Eugenia got pregnant  for Dennis  and he had to rush the wedding without telling his friend, but unfortunately, his friend got to know about the wedding and threatened him on one wedding day, but surprisingly , he didnt do anything  on the wedding day and they never  had that conversation  again"He said.

"Any proof? "Liz asked.

"He said he sent him a text, which I told him to forward  to me"Nat told her.

"Cool"Liz said.

"Where are we going to  now?"Nat asked Liz.

"I think we should  look for Sandra first "Liz said.

"What's  the time? "Nat asked.

"It's 2:48pm"Liz said.

" Do you think  we'll  meet  her at her office at this time?"Nat asked.

"If you drive faster we would,  "Liz said.

"Are you  okay? "Nat asked angrily then continued.

"You always think  you know it all" Nat said  and packed .

"I told you not to act like my boss, you aren't my boss, so mind the way you speak to me "Liz said angrily .

"Wow! I don't think  I can work with  you"Nat said opening the door  where Liz was seating.

"Get out of my car"Nat ordered.

"Of course, and I'll be sure to report this incidence to the boss  first thing  tomorrow  morning, I can't  work with you either"she said, as she hissed and got down  from his car  slamming the door shut.

Immediately  she got down, Nat changed his mind and  got down to meet her where she was standing.

"I'm  sorry, let's go  back to the car then go to her store "Nat said softly .

"I'm  not following you " she said .

"Please "Nat begged.

"Fine"she said  and continued .

"You'd  do only  things I ask you to do"Liz said .

"Fine "Nat said  raising his two hands .

She moved back into the  car  and sat down  at the back  seat.

Nat entered the car  and  was surprised  she sat at the back seat.

"Why  are you staying at the back?"Nat asked .

"Nothing, I'm fine,just drive" she said.

"Ok"Nat said.

Sandra owns a fabric  store, she was in her store attending  to some customers  when one of her employees came to tell her  she has   visitors, she immediately  left what she was doing then decided  to attend  to the visitors  who she thought had come to buy fabrics.

"Good evening "Nat greeted .

"Good evening, how may I help you?"Sandra asked.

"We're looking for Miss Sandra, she owns  this store "Liz said.

"Hope all is well?"Sandra asked .

"Yes, sure "Liz said

"I'm  Sandra and I own  this store"she finally  answered  them .

"OK Sandra,I just  want to ask you  a few  questions  but before we begin , can we go somewhere else where we can comfortably discuss in private? Liz asked.

"I'm sorry, questions about what?" Sandra asked looking  scared .

"Hmm it's not something  bad, but  let's  get a place to talk in private, probably your house or anywhere  you want "Nat said.

"My house? I'm  sorry, I can't take you to my house I don't  even know you" She said.

"Okay Sandra, my name is Liz  and I'm a  detective"Liz introduced  herself  then showed her ID card .

"I'm  Nat, I'm also a detective "Nat said introducing himself  and  then showed  her his ID card .

"So what exactly do you want from me?"Sandra asked starting to shiver.

" Let's go to your car, so we can discuss  better"Liz suggested .

"Don't worry, we can move to my office, I have a personal office here"Sandra said.

"Okay that will do"Nat said .

"Please make yourselves
comfortable"Sandra said as she offered them sits in her office.

"Thank you" they both said as they took their seats.

"Sandra, calm down, we're just here to ask a few questions and that's
it "Liz told her.

"Ok"Sandra said nodding her head .

"Sandra , what   do you know about Eugenia's death? "Liz asked calmly.

"I don't understand, which Eugenia  please? "Sandra  asked looking  shocked .

"Eugenia  Roland, your ex boyfriend's  wife "Liz answered .

"Oh my God!Eugenia is  dead, how?" she  asked again  looking surprised.

"She was stabbed with her pregnancy." Liz  told her .

"Oh my God!I'm just hearing  about this , I'm sure Nora hasn't heard of this"Sandra said .

"Though she took Dennis  from me,I have had nothing against  her , I was the cause of the break up that happened between Dennis and I , I cheated  on him, but I didn't have the heart to tell Nora  so she won't  hate me , so I kept  it from her, I even  begged Dennis not to tell anyone the reason we broke up."Sandra said, her eyes full of tears that were ready to spill at any second.

"So do you think Nora  can Kill Eugenia? "Liz asked.

"Nora? Why? She can't, I know her very  well"Sandra said trying to hold tears back  .

"Where  is Nora? "Nat asked and spoke for the first  time since the interrogation  started .

"She's  at home"Sandra answered.

"OK, can you take us to her? "Nat asked  again  .

"Sure "Sandra  said.
