Liz and Nat went to Mr Johnson's house immediately they left the hospital. On getting there , they met the parents of the deceased and her husband crying profusely in the sitting room.
"We are so sorry for your loss"Liz said.
"Thank you so much "Dennis said and continued .
"And who are you? "he asked.
"Pardon our manners"Nat said bringing his ID card then Liz also brought her ID card.
"We are the detectives in charge of Late Mrs Eugenia Roland's case"Nat said and continued
"My name is Nathaniel, but you can call me Nat"He finally said.
"And I am Elizabeth, but you can call me Liz "Elizabeth said .
"OK, please sit down, you're welcome"Johnson said.
"Thank you sir"Liz and Nat said as they sat on the couch .
"According to the report you gave on March 12,2003 which was yesterday Mr Roland "Liz said then opened the file her boss had given to her that morning .
"You said, you left for work as usual, if I make any mistake please correct me"Liz said .
Dennis nodded his head.
"Yes I did "Dennis said
"Your sister was supposed to come that day right? "Liz asked.
"Yes"Dennis said and nodded his head again .
"But you didn't meet her at home and you didn't meet Chioma your maid at home "Liz said again .
"No I didn't meet any of them at home" Dennis said again .
"Does your sister know about your wife's death?"Nat asked
"No she doesn't, I haven't told anyone apart from my in-law"Dennis said .
"So where does your sister stay? "Nat asked.
"Exactly where does she stay?"Liz asked .
"She stays with my ex"Dennis said .
"Your ex? "Liz asked in a surprised tone .
"Yeah, actually she wanted me to marry my ex , but I loved Eugenia so she packed out of the house two weeks before my wedding angrily."
Dennis said.
"Wow! On your wedding day, was she at the wedding?"Liz asked.
"Yes, she came, funny enough she came with my ex"Dennis said.
"Really? "Nat asked .
"Yes"Dennis replied
"So what's her name?"Liz asked
"Her name is Nora"Dennnis said.
" Miss Nora Roland?"Liz asked writing in a note.
"Yes"Dennis said.
"So where can we get your sister?"Liz asked .
"I actually don't know Sandra 's place, I mean my ex but I know where her store is, she owns a fabric store , I dont know if she has packed out of the house she used to live in when we were dating "Dennis said .
"OK, her work place will help, you can write the address of her work place here"Liz said and gave Dennis a book and pen .
"Alright "Dennis said and collected the book
"My sister can't kill my wife , I'm very certain of that fact , I'm only giving you all this information, so you can question her"Dennis said and gave Liz the book and pen she gave him the other time.
"You don't have to worry Mr Roland, we just want to question her that's all"Nat said with a smile .
"So Mr Roland, you said your mother-in-law got you your maid and you didn't meet her at home that day the incident happened? "Nat asked.
"Yes, Dennis confirmed .
"Mrs Steve "Nat called Mary facing her.
Mary whose head was on her husband's shoulder and had been crying all through the interrogation sat upright to answer Liz's questions.
"Do you know Chioma'a house, probably her parent's house or somewhere she stays?"Nat asked.
"No,it was Ejiro that linked us to her, we don't know her, let me go and get her"Mary said wiping her tears. .
"Who is Ejiro? "Nat asked .
"Our own maid "Mary answered .
"OK, please call her "Nat said writing some observations in his note.
Ejiro walked into the sitting room, it was obvious she was scared and has been crying .
Nat signaled to Liz to take her outside so they could have some woman to woman talk, just the two of them, where the others couldn't hear their conversation.
"Be calm and friendly while questioning her"Nat whispered into Liz's ear.
Immediately they got outside, Liz smiled at Ejiro to make her feel comfortable
"Ejiro how are you? "Liz asked.
"I am fine ma"Ejiro replied.
"Ejiro can we get access to your friend Chioma?"Liz asked .
"Ma, I don't know "Ejiro said.
"What do you mean you don't
know? "Liz asked .
"The only place I know you can see her is her parent's place in the village" Ejiri said.
"Can you give me her parent's address? "Liz asked.
"Yes Ma"Ejiro said then collected the book and pen Liz gave her.
"Thanks dear"Liz said.
