Chapter 4: First Classes

Mephiles POV:

"Mephiles, where are you going?"

I turned around to see Silver looking at me.

"Where do you think?"

"To class?"

I thought to myself for a second. If I tell him I'm going to class, he will leave me alone and I can skip.

" ... Yes." I told him.

"What's your first class?"

I looked at my schedule. "Math."

"Same. I'll see you there."

That backfired. I silently followed the hedgehog to class, although I didn't want to go. I hated every class, especially math.

Espio POV:

"What class do you have?" I heard Sally ask me.

I look over to my dorm partner, Sally Acorn. I told Vector and Charmy to be partners and Sally walked up to me and asked to be partners because there weren't many other students left when we paired up. I accepted.

"Math. What do you have?" I responded to her.

"Science."

"I'll see you around." I told her as I walked away.

"You as well." She responded as she walked away too.

Jet POV:

Just my lucky day. I have science first. Wave said she got History first. That's the only subject I'm good at! She said I'm lucky and that she wanted Science first.

I walked into Science just as the bell rang and took the last empty seat. Right in front of the teachers desk. It really is my lucky day. The teacher took attendance and class began.

Tails POV:

I remember this morning. I was asking everyone I saw what they had for the first class of the day. I thought I was the only one who had English first, but it turned out that everyone was already there! I felt pretty foolish, I'll admit.

Me and Sonic luckily had this class together. I could tell he really didn't want English to be his first class, although I did. He grumbled and sighed and yawned throughout the whole class while taking notes and listening to the rules. At least he was doing his job.

We sat in the front of the class too, which he clearly dreaded. He wanted to sit in the back because of how much he disliked this class. Well, class did fly by pretty quickly even though it seemed to take forever in Sonic's eyes... He told me that it felt like we were in there for 4 hours! I think Sonic is awesome but sometimes he's just crazy.

Well, time for the next class!

Shadow POV: 

Gym. I had gym next.

Right after History with Rouge, a good class, I had gym. I am definitely fit and good at gym but even I don't like it. The only thing I like about it was the fact that they gave us the papers to sign up for track, which was nothing like gym.

I walked into the gym and sighed as I leaned against the wall and waited for instruction. Why did I even need to take this class? Don't they know who I am. I'm most likely the most fit student in the school! I shouldn't have to take this pathetic class.

"Shadow?"

I heard someone say my name and looked around. I saw Blaze walking towards me from my right.

"Hey."

"You have this class too?"

"Well, what does it look like?" I thought to myself.

"Yeah. What did you have first?" I asked her.

"English."

"That explains a lot."

She looked at me with a confused look.

"Nevermind." I told her.

The teacher soon enough walked in and looked at me. They walked up to me and immediately handed me a track sign-up paper, like always. I almost smirked because of this routine.

"What is that?" I heard Blaze ask.

"Track sign-up paper. You want one?" The teacher asked her in response.

"Sure."

The teacher handed her one. She smiled and thanked them.

"Not like you'll stand a chance. You know you're gonna get left in the dust." I said to her.

"Is that a challenge? I'll let you know that it's probably going to be the other way around." She retaliated. 

"After classes, meet me outside the front doors of the school immediately. Don't be late." I informed her.

"Okay."

Sonic POV:

The only good thing about English was that Tails was with me. There's nothing good now, being in Math. I sat in the back of the room with Jet as we both complained about how annoying this teacher was. 

If there was one thing we both really had in common besides our attitudes and egos, it would be our shared disliking of Math.
