Chapter 14: Breaking The News.

*Time Skip To A Week After Prom.*

Espio POV:

I ran down the hall quickly to the cafeteria. Good thing I couldn't be late to lunch because if I could then I'd be getting referrals left and right.

"Why are you late every day?" I saw Silver waiting for me at the entrance to the cafeteria.

"I have reasons." I told him.

We walked into the cafeteria and froze. We saw the whole group surrounding Mephiles, asking questions.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"I only see one logical reason for this... Mephiles just told them the news." Silver answered me.

"What news?"

Silver stayed silent and stared at the group. He looked upset over something.

"What is it?" I asked again.

"Mephiles is moving."

"Silver, when did he tell you this?"

"Prom..."

"That was April Fools."

"Are you saying he was pranking me?" Silver turned to me.

"Maybe he was."

"I know he wasn't. He doesn't joke about things like moving, he jokes about dark things... VERY dark things..." Silver informed me.

Shadow POV:

"Can you losers go away? You're surrounding my table." I shouted at the group. They just ignored me and kept on asking Mephiles questions.

"Where are you going?" Amy asked.

"When are you leaving?" Sonic said.

"Do you WANT to leave?" Jet shouted.

I looked over at Blaze for help. They would not stop asking questions.

"SHUT UP! HE DOESN'T HAVE TO TELL YOU A SINGLE THING ABOUT IT! BE GLAD HE TOLD US HE WAS MOVING IN THE FIRST PLACE!" I shouted.

"YES, STOP ASKING QUESTIONS HE CAN'T ANSWER YOU ALL AT ONCE!" Blaze added.

They all went dead silent and stared at us. They whispered among themselves and walked away as Silver and Espio ran over to the table.

"I told them the news. They decided to annoy me." Mephiles informed them when they got to the table.

"I'll save the questions for later then." Espio said as he walked off to the group. Silver sat down on his usual seat.

"At least the questions made sense..." Silver said.

"True." Blaze agreed.

"Are you going to answer them?" I asked Mephiles.

"Well... I'm moving to Chaos High for schools..." Mephiles answered me.

"Chaos High?!?" Both me and Blaze went wide eyed.

Mephiles POV:

Was there a problem? I didn't see the problem if there was one. I just gave them a confused look.

"That is a popular yet horrible school." Silver informed me.

"Oh, I didn't know that. I'm moving at the end of the year and I don't want to leave." I continued on from my previous statement. 

"This sucks. You're one of the better ones in the group." Shadow complained.

"Am I one of the better ones?" Silver asked Shadow, cheerfully. 

"When you're sleeping, yes." Shadow answered him.

"When you're awake, yes as well." I added to Shadow's answer before Silver started complaining.

"Yes!" Silver shouted.

"Someone else's opinion on you shouldn't matter to you anyways." Blaze said.

"Mine should." Shadow stated.

"No, it should not." Blaze responded to him.

"If I told you you're my second favorite member of the group besides myself then would it matter?"

"No. But thank you."

"Lunch is almost over." I informed everyone.

"Good." Shadow got up to throw out his leftover food.

"Not good. I don't like my next class." Silver complained.

"But Shadow's in it." Blaze told Silver.

"Exactly."

"Good one, Silver." I simply said as I got up to throw out my leftovers and walk out of the cafeteria.

Amy POV:

"School ends in about two months." I informed the group.

"No way, really?" Sonic asked.

"That's good." Scourge said.

"Yep! I can't wait to give my end of the year speech!" I responded with joy.

"You have yours ready? I haven't even started mine yet!" Scourge complained.

"Then get to work on it! You have to say SOMETHING!"

"Technically, no we don't." Wave stated.

"True, but it's better to say something than nothing."

"Not always..." Tails said.

"You get my point." I sighed as I got up to throw out my leftovers. Sometimes my friends drive me so crazy.
