Chapter 6: After School

*Time Skip To After School.*

Shadow POV:

Finally school was out. That was the most boring day of my life.

I ran through the halls of the school even though multiple staff members told me to stop. I ran out the front doors of the school to see Blaze already waiting for me, sitting on the bottom step of the stairs that lead to the ground.

"What took you so long?"

"My class was on the other side of the building." I told her. English was an okay class, but it was all the way at the back of the building along with the dorms.

"Okay. Are you ready?"

"That's the question I should be asking you. Let's race from here to the cafe in town. The Chaos Cafe. Last one there has to buy the other one a coffee. Deal?" I asked her.

"I prefer tea. Deal."

"You know how to get there from here, right?"

"Of course."

"Good. I'll still beat you anyways."

"You're quite competitive. Let's hope you actually can keep up with me." She told me.

Rouge ran outside after us, I told her about the race so she could start it.

"3..." Rouge counted.

I stretched a bit and got into my running position.

"2..."

Blaze stretched as well and prepared herself to run.

"1..."

We were both ready for Rouge to shout go.

"GO!!!" Rouge finally told us.

We dashed down the street, running at super fast speeds. We jumped over cars and shoved people aside. Good thing traffic wasn't too busy and not that many people were walking down the street that day. I looked up ahead and saw the chaos cafe in my sight. I knew I would win this. 

I saw Scourge standing there and he saw me and Blaze running towards the cafe. He could tell we were having a race so he lifted his arms up into the air to indicate that he was the finish line. Just as I was getting closer, I looked to my right and realized that Blaze had been running by my side the whole time.

"So now you notice." She said to me.

I sped up but she sped up as well and we passed Scourge at the same time.

"A TIE?!?" Scourge shouts.

Blaze was slightly surprised.

"I have to say, I'm impressed. So what do you want for your tea?"

"We tied..."

"I was going to get you tea either way." I told her.

Rouge flied over to us.

Rouge POV:

"I have to say, I'm surprised. The only student who has ever beaten Shadow in a race is Sonic." I said, my wings closing as I landed next to Blaze.

"Really?" Blaze asked.

"Yeah. Now what do you want?" Shadow asked.

"Any tea. Any way. I don't really care." Blaze answered him.

"Okay."

He walked into the cafe.

"He's always like that." Scourge said.

I looked over to Scourge as he walked into the cafe.

"Well, this was fun. I'm gonna go now, see you around." I told Blaze.

"Goodbye. I will see you around as well." She responded to me.

Yep. This new girl fits right in.

Silver POV:

I sat on my bed on the left side of the dorm and looked out the window. I didn't know what I wanted to do. I was pretty bored. I heard someone open the door to the dorm and ignored it.

"What are you doing?"

I looked over at Mephiles. I shrugged, because I really wasn't doing anything.

"Come with me then."

"Why? Where to?" I asked him.

"We're going shopping. I'm going to prank Shadow tomorrow."

Mephiles was going to prank someone? Well, either way I did want to help.

I nodded as I got up and locked the dorm door behind us. We walked down the hall, out of the building, and to the mall.

Sonic POV:

If there was one piece of advice I could give anyone, it would be to not trust Ames. 

I remember earlier today when me and Tails were getting ready to go to the cafe. Amy knocked on our dorm door and we let her in. She invited us to a party and we accepted.

But she never said it was a pool party.

I sighed as I sat on a chair and ate a chili dog while I watched Amy, Cream, Knuckles, and Tails all have fun in the water.

"Hey Sonic! You should join us!" Amy shouted at me.

"What?!? No! You know I can't swim Ames!" I told her.

"We can teach you, Mr. Sonic!" Cream said.

"No, thank you Cream. I'll just sit here and eat my chili dog." I informed them.

"Fine..." Amy said, defeated.

Vector POV:

I don't get why Espio was so grumpy about going to the mall. Charmy was really excited and I didn't mind it one bit.

"Is something wrong Espio?" I asked him.

"Yes." He told me.

"What's wrong?" Charmy asked.

"The mall. That's what."

"Espio! The mall is awesome!" I heard Silver shout as he ran over to us and Mephiles followed him.

"No it's not." Espio said.

"What are you two doing here?" I asked. It wasn't every day you saw Mephiles and Silver going to the mall.

"It's a secret." Mephiles answered.

"Well, as long as you don't prank us we're good." Charmy told them.

"How did you know we were going to prank someone?" Silver responded.

"Uh, lucky guess?" Charmy said.

"We're called detectives for a reason." Espio informed them.

"Yes but you couldn't have guessed it with such little information." Mephiles argued.

"We're pranking Shadow." Silver shared the secret with us.

"Don't get in our way." Mephiles warned us.

"We won't! We we're just wondering what you were doing here, that's all." I told him.

They then walked away.

"Talk about grumpy." Charmy said.

"Shut up." Espio responded.

"Not you!" Charmy told him.
