I could hear the music playing before we even got to his house. Sam parked across the street from his house behind a long line of other cars. "Well this should be interesting." Sam said. "Yeah." I said mesmerized by his house. People walked in and out of the house with red cups filled with booze. "You made it!" Carson shouted. "Yeah!" It was hard to talk over the loud music and the other people. "This is my friend Charlotte!" He said as he pointed to a girl in a tight short dress. I knew exactly who she was, she made life hell for me every year. I don't know why she hates me so much but she does. Let's just say the stuff she did to me doesn't just happen in movies. "Hey!" Sam said to Charlotte. "I'm Sam!" "Yeah I know we have history together!" Charlotte shouted. She disgusts me how she wears that dress. It's like she wants to be raped. "Nice meeting you! Maybe we'll run into each other tonight!" Charlotte said in a seductive voice as she winked to Sam before she walked away. "Well don't just stand there! Enjoy that party!" Carson yelled before he to walked away. "You didn't say anything to Charlotte, how come?" Sam asked as we made our way to the kitchen where all the beer was at. "Long story short she hates me and well I hate her too." "Why?" Sam asked. "Like I said long story." "Okay but you're telling me someday when there is time." I picked up the red plastic cup and filled it with beer. "Hey Sophia! Come here and meet my friends!" Carson yelled taking me by surprise. I looked at Sam who only shrugged his shoulders in confusion. "Hey." I said. "Hey this is Sophia the girl I told you about." "Sophia that's Jack." Carson said as he pointed to a tall guy with brown hair that flipped the side. "That's Michael." As he pointed to someone with short blonde hair that was spiked up with gel. "And that's Cody!" I did know cody really well, we use to be best friends before he became popular. "Hi!" I said shyly. "Damn you're sexy!" Michael said as he looked me up and down. Well that was straight forward since I just met him. "Is that your first cup?" Jack asked. "Yeah, why?" Oh god what were they planning on doing. "We need shots over here!" Jack yelled loud enough everyone could hear him. Everyone started cheering as they raised their cups. "No really I'm fine, I wasn't planning on drinking much." I said. I looked around for Sam but I couldn't find him, instead I saw two people walking over with vodka and 5 shot glasses. What did I get myself into. "Drink up!" The person yelled as he poured the vodka into the shot glasses. "No really I'm good I don't -" "lighten up take a chance." Michael said as he handed me the glass. I looked over at Cody hoping he would say something but I knew it was to good to be true. "Drink. Drink. Drink." Everyone started chanting. Once again I looked for Sam but I couldn't find him. I took the glass and drank. The vodka burned my throat making me want to throw up. They handed me one after another until they five glasses were empty. Everyone clapped their hands a cheered. My head was throbbing. I could feel the alcohol burn inside my stomach. Everyone left me even Carson and his group. God why did I agree to this? I tried walking not knowing if I was even walking straight. I headed for the kitchen so I could get myself some water and ditch the crowd also hoping Sam was there. Obviously there was no water out only booze so I sat down on the stool pulled up to the counter. I held my head that was throbbing even more now that the alcohol had taken over. Where is Sam, I want to go home this night was nothing that I expected it to be. I got up and tried to find my way to the door but I felt like I was going in circles. "Sam?" I shouted as I saw Sam by the stair case. I pushed people out of the way so I could get to him, but as I got closer I saw that he was talking to Charlotte. I was confused why he would even want to talk to her but I guess he was just trying to be nice and not come across as a douche. "Sam!" I said but not loud enough to be heard. I tried to get closer but the closer I got I could see them kissing. My heart sank to the bottom of my stomach. I was more confused and pissed. What the fuck just happened? This can't be real it's just the alcohol. "Sophia!" Sam said. I turned around and bolted to the door. People yelled at me as I shoved them aside to clear a path for me. Tears stung in my eyes, I never knew what it felt like to fall in love but I did know and it felt like someone ripped my heart right out of my chest when I saw him kissing Charlotte. I ran as far away from the house, I ran as far away from Sam. "Sophia!" I could hear Sam yell in the distance. I knew he wasn't following me because I was out of sight from the house. Carson was the only house on the street because of how big it was. All that surrounds it was woods. I ran into the woods trying not to trip over everything. The only light I had was the light from the moon but that sure as hell didn't help much. My head was pounding, my stomach turned making me want to throw up, the room was spinning and lastly my heart was broken. I fell to the ground as I tripped over a branch. I tried to catch myself with my hands but rocks and branches stabbed the palm of my hand. As I caught myself I turned around and sat on the ground. I was shaking with rage and confusion. Did this really happen? I opened my purse that was over my shoulder the whole time. I grabbed a cigarette and lit the end breathing in the smoke. My breath shook as I released the smoke into the air. I could still hear the music and I could still see the colorful lights that flickered inside the house. I wasn't that far into the woods but fat enough from the house. This can't be happening.
