The air was frigid and I didn't have a jacket. I felt like I was sitting here for hours but it's only been minutes. My stomach started to turn even more and I could feel the throw up rushing up. I bent to the side as I threw up alcohol.
.Fuck.
I lit myself another cigarette. And the lighter lit up showing what was around me. Inhaling and exhaling, I repeated the same process over and over again until I finished the cigarette. Again I took out my fourth cigarette lighting the end. "Sophia?" I heard Sam say. I wanted to scream, I wanted to run, but all I did was stay in my place and breathed in the chemicals. "Sophia I can explain." Sam said desperately. "Don't, I saw you kissing her. I saw you." I said as I could feel more tears stream down my face. "Sophia-" I cut Sam off. "Sam, I saw you. You can't explain it without making up a lie. She kissed you, you kissed her. Whatever it was you still kissed her." "Soph-" "stop! Just stop!" I yelled as I stood up picking up my things in the process. I walked further into the woods but I know Sam was right behind me. "Please." Sam said. "No just leave me alone!" I heard thunder from above and I knew it was going to rain any minute now. "I loved you! I loved you Sam! And I actually thought you did too! But I was wrong, we never were together! So who am I to go judging you for kissing other people! You never were mine and I was never yours! So please just leave me alone!" I walked past him heading for the streets. I left him there in the woods as I made my way out. The party died down and people were passed out on the lawn. "Hey Sophia why so sad?" Charlotte said in a mocking tone. "Get away from me Charlotte." I said trying to walk away from her. "Hmm, but you see I don't want too." I turned around and walked straight up to her and yelled. "Haven't you done enough to me! What the hell did I ever do to you! You knew exactly how to hurt me the most and you did! It's a constant battle with you! You win Charlotte! You win! I give up!" "Can I get the in writing?" Charlotte said in the most bitchiest way possible. "You bitch!" I screamed as I slapped her across the face leaving a hand print behind. "Sophia stop!" Sam yelled as he ran over. "You two deserve each other." I said as I made my way down the street. "What's the matter with you!" Sam screamed at her. "What? Can't take the heat?" Charlotte laughed. "Go to hell." Sam said as he ran towards me. "Sophia stop please!" Sam said as he stopped in front of me. "Sam the damage is done, you can't fix it." I said making my heart break more. I felt a rain drop fall on my shoulder and at the second it started down pour. I cried once again but I could see Sam struggling to not break down as well. "I'm sorry." Sam said choking on his own words. "Don't be we never were together, it was just a fantasy. I was just living a dream." Rain fell against my skin, making me colder than I was before. "I told her no." Sam said "what?" I asked even though I knew the answer. "She tried to take me upstairs that's why we were by the stairs. I kept telling her no. She kept begging and I gave her the same answer but she wouldn't accept the fact that I loved you. She told me that I don't really love you, she said I was just looking for something to love and then she kissed me. I pushed her away and I said your name, I didn't even know you were there till I looked up. She couldn't accept the fact that I'm in love with you." I stood there speechless. We were soaking wet from the rain. "Sophia I'm crazy about you and I knew it from the moment I sat down next to you. I couldn't take my eyes off you, you are beautiful. I love everything about you. I can't stop thinking about you, I want to spend every second with you. Sophia I love you." Sam said as he walked closer to me until we were only inches apart. "Sam-" he cut me off with a kiss. I was shocked but didn't move, instead I pulled him closer as I ran my fingers through his wet hair. I wasn't confused anymore, I wasn't angry anymore, the world wasn't spinning anymore, my heart didn't ache anymore. We stood there kissing in the rain, but this wasn't a dream, this actually is happening. This is reality and we're standing in the pouring rain with his lips pressed against mine.
