! Violence warning!

[Tsukishima]

We were just walking together after that; talking, catching up over the weeks where we had been distant, all that good stuff. As I stared at Yamaguchi I just felt so at ease. This was the boy who had always been there for me and I couldn't have been more grateful for him taking me back. I kind of just wanted to hug him again, though managed to restrain myself because that may have been too sudden.

We were friends again, though things would definitely be different from now on. I was going to pay attention to him and dote on him like a true friend should, because I knew damn well how much he deserved that. Similarly, I knew Yamaguchi wasn't going to go straight back into trusting me like he did. I didn't want something to go wrong again..

Well, something did go wrong in a sense. Just not relating to our friendship.

I'm not sure when it happened, but before I knew it we were being cornered against a shop, me in front of Yamaguchi to defend him against the bullies from when we were kids.

"What is your problem?" I glared down at them, still considerably taller. I was getting deja vu staring at these boys, their disgusting shitty faces really reminiscent of their personalities.

"What's yours? Get out of our way, freak." One of them sneered, trying to push past me. Naturally, I'm a middle blocker, so I easily blocked their way from Yamaguchi.

"Tadashi, run." I glanced over my shoulder at Yamaguchi, my heart aching as I saw him staring at the boys in fear. White hot rage seeped through me as I took in my best friend's face and how hurt he'd gotten. All because of these fuckers.
I turned to the assholes, glaring daggers as I loomed over them. I was never one for getting into fights, I never saw the need to and it honestly just seemed like a waste of time. But now-

In a flash, a fist swung round and connected to my cheek, making me step back with a slight grunt. Yamaguchi made a noise of both surprise and distress while I composed myself again. I remained quiet, staring at the three of them; three against one? How unfair.
Oh well, I couldn't be charged since they threw the first punch, so I might as well got revenge for what they did to Yamaguchi.

This time, I used my read blocking to bring my arms up in time to block the next punch, stepping back once again to keep Yamaguchi out of their line of sight. They punched my arms and seemed a little caught off guard by how easily it seemed to come to me. In an instant I used this opportunity to draw my leg back and kick as hard as I could into the 'leader's' chest to send him stumbling back, falling into his two friends who all tumbled to the ground.

"Leave Tadashi alone." My voice came out as a cold, guttery growl that even surprised me. The main boy got back up and grabbed the front of my shirt, in turn making me shove against him until we were a mess of limbs, throwing punches and kicks at eachother. Then I felt myself getting dragged back, firm arms holding me in place so that I could only squirm.

One of them had grabbed me by the arms, holding me back while the 'leader' stepped forward and continue the assault. I gritted my teeth in pain, twisting my head around so that He wouldn't hit and potentially break my nose, otherwise I wouldn't be able to play against Shiratorizawa- why was I thinking about that now!? I tried kicking out as much as I could, struggling against the person that was holding me but it was to no avail.

The boy scored a painful punch to my gut, actually making me cough up blood. The sight of it made me struggle more, like a fish out of water. Then there was a yell, an angry, hateful yell and Yamaguchi was running over, swinging his gym bag and throwing it straight into the 'leader's' head, making him fall back with a startled yelp. I took this chance and threw my head back as hard as I could, connecting to the guy's chin so that he let go of me with a loud whine of pain. I stumbled slightly, glasses cracked and broken, though still made my way over to Yamaguchi.

"What was in that bag?" I mused dryly, watching the leader roll around the ground in pain, holding his head. Yamaguchi gulped, but walked over and picked his bag up anyway.

Then I saw the mist hateful glare I'd ever seen cross over his face.
"Leave us alone or I'm calling the police." He murmured, turning and walking back over to me.
"Tsukki.."

I sighed, wiping the blood from my mouth.
"Don't worry about me, c'mon I gotta get you home. It's my fault we got into this, I kept you out."

"Absolutely not. I'm glad you kept us out, now they won't be messing with us anymore."

We stared at the two boys and I squinted through my cracked glasses.
"Hang on... wasn't there three of them?"

As soon as the words left my mouth Yamaguchi was tugged back by someone, making me turn around and raise my fists immediately to swing at them.

"Get off him!" I went to run at him when I was held back too, the other two seeming to have recovered already. I struggled against them, yelling and completely breaking from how I normally acted. "Let him go!" I could barely see what was going on, but I could hear Yamaguchi yelling back at our attackers, doing all he could to free himself. It was just no use. It was just-

"Yamaguchi! Tsukishima!" A familiar shrill yell called, making us all pause and look over. Hinata's tangerine-orange hair flashed by, his insanely quick speed and high jump naturally startling our attackers into stepping back. Me and Yamaguchi shoved them away and I hurried to grab onto Yamaguchi as Kageyama came running over. I'd never been happier to see those two idiots.

"Tsukki, your glasses.."

"Doesn't matter. Will you lead me?"

"Of course."

Now that it was four against three, the trio of bullies seemed a lot less interested in hurting us and instead started scrambling away, yelling insults that we pointedly ignored. Kageyama and Hinata turned to us, surprise and worry on their faces (moreso Hinata's).

"What happened?" Hinata asked, face blurry so I had to squint.

"We got attacked, obviously. Use your eyes, shortie." I rolled my eyes slightly, a smirk on my face.

"Well Tsukishima seems fine. Yamaguchi?"

"Oh- I'm alright. Tsukki protected me." I think Yamaguchi smiled at me, but I couldn't tell because of my terrible vision.

"Oh? 'Tsukki'?" Kageyama raised his brows at us, I think.

"Yeah.. we're good again." Yamaguchi sounded cheerful, so I could only assume he was smiling. I could also tell Hinata was giving a big grin back, because honestly when was Hinata not giving a big grin.

"Tadashi, can you help me home? I can't see." I murmured, taking my broken glasses off and putting them in my pocket. Yamaguchi gently took me by the hand so that I wouldn't wander while he shared a few words of thanks with Hinata and Kageyama.

"Tsukki, keep up alright?" Yamaguchi murmured, waving goodbye to the two simpletons before starting to walk me back home. We walked in comfortable silence, Yamaguchi's thin arm wrapped around my shoulders as I was limping slightly.

"Hey.. Tsukki?" He murmured, making me glanced over at him. "Thanks. For saving me back there."

"Are you kidding? You don't need to thank me, if anything you're the one who saved me. That bag to the face must've taught them that you're not going to take their crap lying down. You were really cool." I smiled slightly and I swear I felt his bright smile back. Or perhaps I was just feeling the brightness that was Yamaguchi.

He led me back to my house where my older brother Akiteru instantly pulled us inside to clean us up. I heard Yamaguchi try nervously to protest, but there was really no use trying against my brother. That's how it was organised that Yamaguchi would stay over for the night and I had offered to sleep on a futon, giving Yamaguchi my bed much to his dismay.
Honestly? My body ached like hell from the fight, but at least I had my spare glasses safe at home, so I could wear them.

"Tsukki?" Yamaguchi's voice came out as a tired whisper into the darkness and I let out a grunt of response.
"We're playing against Shiratorizawa tomorrow.. The best school in the prefecture. You'll try your best won't you? I'm not a regular, so all I'll be doing is cheering. I'll cheer you on the most though, so please make it worth it."

There was a beat of silence.

"Yeah.. I'll make you want to cheer for me."
