Extra Training

School goes by quickly, but you would like to get some training done before the sports festival. You scroll through your contacts until you find one of the strongest people you know.

Mirio Togata.

You text him to meet at a gym, he agrees, so you take a bus to the gym you're meeting at. However, on the bus ride, an older man stands near you, who you can sense checking you out. You don't say anything, just in case he isn't doing anything, until he starts getting a little too close to you.

You tell him to move away, so he steps back the tiniest bit possible and asks if it's good enough. At this, you step away, but he only moves closer than before. "Sir, please stop." He has no reply, and you don't want to get in trouble for beating up an old guy today, so you proceed to step away again.

Except this time, you hit someone.

You start apologizing and look up from the ground to see who it is you bumped into. However, the eyes that meet your own are familiar and friendly.

"Kirishima! Hey, where are you going today?" You try to stand close to him without weirding him out, but it seems to just confuse him based on how he answers your question. "I-I.... uh.... I'm just... uhm.. g-going to hang out with Kaminari and Bakugo."

He signals to another spot on the bus, and easily recognizable blond hair stand out to you. You blush like crazy, but smile at the safety of your friends. You and Kirishima walk over to Katsuki and Denki, and you explain the situation, especially why you were getting so close to the confused redhead.

Katsuki gets pissed off, as he usually does, and Kiri just seems a bit embarrassed about the whole situation, though anger does come into his voice a few times. Denki laughs about Kiri getting so embarrassed, but is definitely more than a little mad that someone was trying to do something.

You notice rage-floof avoiding looking at you, and when he does look at you, he blushes almost as much as you. You giggle to yourself and finally get off at your stop.

It doesn't take long before you find Mirio and can begin training. This specific gym has rooms for fighting with quirks, so you go there and start the fight.

"I won't use Aizawa's quirk by the way, just to be nice." He laughs and says, "You sure about that? You might need it this time." You roll your eyes and wait for him to attack. He does, but your use his own quirk against him and slip right through it.

It goes on a while. Minutes turn in to hours, and soon you have a whole crowd watching you two fight.  When you decide you're too tired to draw it out any longer, you wait for him to try to attack and then super-speed a solid hit to his back. After that, you use Midnight's quirk, who you've met, like Mirio, through Aizawa being a teacher at U.A.

On the bus going home, you see yet another familiar face. "Uh— Deku! Hey, where're you headed?" He looks up from his phone and his eyes light up, a smile spreading across his face. "I'm just going home, how about you?"

"Yeah, same. Do you wanna train a little? I wanna work harder while we prepare for the sports festival." He nods, so you go to his house to tell his mom where he'll be and then go to the beach.

You decide to help him try to control One For All, but find yourself a bad teacher. He can't do much yet, or else he'll break his bones, so it's difficult to help him train. Even more so when you don't know how to describe control.

After collecting hundreds, maybe thousands by now, of quirks, you naturally have a decent control over any new quirk. Even a quirk like One For All is easy for you to control, but it does take a toll on your body.

You end up head home pretty soon, collapsing across your bed on arrival. You feel a pain spread through your entire body and a sick feeling. Rushing to the bathroom, you only have time to make it to the sink before metallic-scented red liquid pours out of your mouth.

This isn't the first time it's happened.

After the entrance exams, it would happen once a week or so, and then more often after the USJ incident. It gets even more painful by the day, and you know exactly why.

Human bodies aren't supposed to have so many quirks.

You sigh and wipe blood away from your mouth, finding something to clean up the floor where some blood spilled. Even when you don't have these... attacks... your body is in constant pain. You don't notice it as much anymore; the pain has been there for a couple of years.

Even so, it hurts like hell. I think...

I think I need to stop collecting strangers' quirks...

Or at least do something....

You push the thought out of your mind and focus on cleaning up the crimson spill. Realizing it's getting late, you hurry up and jump into bed after a quick shower. It takes a long time, but you eventually fall into a deep sleep.

I'm so tired...
