I made something in the oven for my lunch and I got some pot holders to take it out. I didn't have the pot holder covering my whole hand, so I touched the hot tray with my bare thumb and almost yelled fuck in front of my sisters. I yelled OW instead and whispered fuck to myself.

I ran it under cold water and put ice packs on it, but it still hurts.
(And of course it's my dominant hand, so everything is a bit harder to do without my thumb.)
