“Okay you guys just wait here.” I said once we reached the secret entrance. “Rose has never really had guests except for Axel so I don’t really know how she will react when she sees you.” They nodded anxiously and I crawled through the tunnel.

I found Rose sitting by the lake. Her front claws just barely touched the waters and her face so close to it that I could see her bright maroon colored eyes reflecting back at her. I watched as her tail wagged gleefully for a second before her head dunked into the water. It only took a beat for her to raise her head and have a massive fish trapped in her strong jaws. It flopped and jiggled as it tried to wriggle itself free.

That’s when Rose saw me. And I guess out of excitement she snapped her jaws down. A large snapping sound was heard and the aquatic creature became lifeless. I scrunched up my nose when blood started to ooze and drip on to the ground. She tossed up her meal into the air and swallowed it whole when it came back down.

“Rose that’s just gross…” She just licked her bloody lips. I shook my head and sighed. “You have guests so could you please not eat them.” She narrowed her eyes and huffed as if to say,

“You think I eat anything that moves? That’s just barbaric! *insert huff* Luna I am a lady dragon not a bloody monster!”

“Well what do you expect me to think when your drooling fish blood?” she snarled at me and put my hands on my hips. “Don’t you snarl at me!” She snarled louder. “Are you kidding me right now!?!” We both just glared at each other.

“Oh My G-d Luna! Watch out! It’s going to eat you!” Fang shouted freaking out. May just crossed her arms and shook her head. She obviously understood the situation more than he did. I looked back at Rose then to Fang and doubled over in laughter. Rose even grinned and Fang just stared scared out of his mind.

“Oh Fang stop being a baby!” I ran over to him and grabbed his wrist. He dug his heels into the ground as I dragged him along.

“Please Luna I don’t want to touch it!” He said squirming.

“It’s not an it, it’s a she and her name is Rose. Now stop being a loser and start acting like a man.”

“You want me to be a man? Fine!” He stopped dead in his tracks and no matter how hard I tugged he wouldn’t budge.

“Uh Move Idiot!” May said leaning against a tree.

“R-Right!” Fang easily released his hand from my grip. He rolled up his sleeves and walked toward Rose; who was now lying on her belly waiting to greet her new friend. When Fang was close enough, he took a deep breath and stuck out a hand for her to sniff. Rose Looked at the hand then back at the boy. She blew out a warm gust of air threw her nostrils causing Fangs ashy hair sway and his cheeks redden. He shut his crystal blue eyes expecting something to happen, but nothing did. He opened his eyes and grinned.

“Ha You’re not scary! Look Luna! Didn’t I say it wasn’t going to eat any one? Honestly woman you worry too much!” I shook my head at him and he just stuck out his tongue at Rose. I grinned now he’s done it. Within seconds Rose was on her feet looking down at Fang. Fang looked up like a child about to be scolded by their parents. He took a step back and she took a threatening step forward. “Uh Oh!” Fang turned his heel and started running.

I walked toward May and we both watched with amused eyes as Fang ran in circles. It wasn’t long till Rose had Fang squirming under her. She snarled before opening her jaws. Fang squeezed his eyes shut, preparing for the worst. Giggles came bursting from our throats as we watched Rose slobber all over his face. Fang expression showed pure horror and we couldn’t help, but laugh harder.
