Cairo's viewpointExhaustion was the last thing I wanted to undergo as I walk through the door of my condo unit.
I can't deny the fact that I wanted to close my eyes and just dove into a deep sleep. I remained my fixed, comfortable position on the sofa and kept on letting out heavy sighs. The unit was quiet, no sounds were coming from the piano from the corner of the living room right next to my 60 inches flat-screen TV nor water dripping from the faucet of the sink in the kitchen.
People would sometimes complain about how deafening the settings can be, but for me it was mellifluous. Something from my front pockets started to bombinate, another combination of words that end with a period will be the first thing that's flashed on my lock screen the moment I look at it. I'll even bet a million dollars on that one because it's a fact.
Inialis ko ang aking bisig sa pagkakapatong saaking noo, inilapit ko ang aking kamay sa harapan na bulsa ng aking pangibaba kung saan nanggagaling ang pag-vibrate mula sa cellphone ko. Clicking the power button, I glanced at the lock screen.
From: Marielle Monroe
Where are you? Can you come pick me up at the airport sa NAIA.I couldn't say no to her even if I wanted to. She's one of the daughter of my father's friends. I had to be kind to them anyway. Also, she's one of my friends.

After a while, I started to hear someone running, the person's steps are echoing through the hallways in the fifth floor of the condo at every corner. I wasn't bothered by it and just continued to walk.
"Sorry! Emergency Lang!" I heard a woman said when she bumped into me. I raised my head but didn't see anyone near me, I looked back, assuming that maybe the woman had already gone passed me.
I saw a woman wearing a corporate attire, black blazer and slacks while she was carrying her black heels not that far from me.
"Whatever." I just whispered, uso kumalma habang tumatakbo.
Still looking at her, she stopped and I noticed that one of her hands curled up into a ball. I smirked by the sight of her getting, I don't know, maybe irritated? I was curious because how in the world did she hear what I said?
I walked away slowly, leaving her there and her boiled up blood while slightly shaking my head left and right as I walk towards the elevator since it's already a few meters away from me. Bumukas ang elevator at may mga lumabas na tao, after that pumasok na ako.
"Excuse me? Ang kapal naman yata ng mukha mo?" I heard a voice coming from a woman echoing in the hallway, it had the same voice from the woman who bumped into me earlier.
Her voice started to diminish so I couldn't hear the next words she was saying. What a very loud woman.
Driving was never fun for me because of the fact that I was always alone in the car. The fact that I would always pick up Marielle whenever she's back in the country doesn't even help me because all she talks about is her shoes and makeups.
