"Wait a minute, Leo! Kung galing ka sana ng maaga edi sana nauna ka sa'kin!" I shouted from the bathroom where I was doing my hair. I was just doing double inverted french braids.

We were already running late for Mrs. Evero's birthday. It was a surprise for her so only us, Hercules, and the invited guests know about it. That's how 'makupad' we are.

"Serene naman, eh! Nawiwiwi na 'ko!" I heard him complained as I continued braiding the left side of my hair at the end. Only a few more turns and it'll be done.

"Go wiwi na lang sa other bathrooms! Kayanga malaking unit ang kinuha natin, eh!" I shouted back at him. He didn't complain anymore and I heard some footsteps fading so I guess he left.

When I was done doing the left side, I took a piece of an elastic band and tied the braid. Then, I started doing the right side of my hair. It took me a moment before finishing it because I would always get lost in my thoughts. When I was already done with my get up, I opened the door and dashed back to my room.

I went to my desk to get my phone but it wasn't there, I checked my bed, my closet, and to no avail, I didn't see it there. The bedside tables are the only ones I haven't checked yet. So, I went there and opened one of the drawers. Luckily, it was there. There was a text message from Fiona, so I read it.

From: Fio
I'll be at the party later. Just text me the address. I'll be meeting my cousin right now.

Her cousin? Is she going to meet Cairo? I wanted to ask that but Cairo wasn't her only cousin. Gosh, Serene! Stop assuming that Cairo's still here! Maybe he flew to another country or somewhere I don't know.

To: Fio
Alright, here's the address.

I texted her the address, and she thanked me after that.

"Serene, let's go! The van's already downstairs!" Astrid uttered from the living room. Well, it sounded like she was there.

I went to the living room to see if my bandmates are still there. Only Astrid and Leo were the only ones left, maybe Red and Ronnie went out first. We walked out of the unit and went down to the parking lot, the van was indeed already there.

It was already cold in the van, good thing I wore a maroon turtle neck long sleeves that had thin white stripes. Then, I paired it with some white, leather mini skirt, and my favorite black velvet thigh-high boots.

This is the one I should've worn yesterday instead of my other one. Oh, well. Astrid and I were the only ones that are sitting in the middle seat. While ate Amanda was sitting at the shotgun seat. I immediately asked ate Amanda a question about C.E.O Fordez.

"Where's C.E.O Fordez?" I asked. She was busy looking at something on her iPad mini, but she still answered my question.

"He went first," she answered as she scrolled down on her screen. I shrugged my shoulders and didn't ask further because she might get distracted by what she was doing.

I slept through the whole ride and got woken up because of loud noise. I jolted up from my sleep and looked at where the noise was coming from.

"Astrid! You could've just woke me up by tapping my shoulders, right?" I began before hitting her left shoulder. She immediately rubbed it. "You didn't have to play a fucking loud rock and roll music on your Bluetooth speaker," I complained.

She didn't have to! It was a freaking JBL speaker for pete's sake! The one that's shaped like a soda can, and you have to place it in a landscape position that's in camouflage color. That was the one I bought for her damn birthday because she wanted one. Geez, Astrid.
