Avery looked to the ground as the nurse checked Leo's eye,she gave him some ice"I'll leave you here for a bit,ok?"
Leo nodded,the nurse turned and walked away.
"Hey,that was pretty cool back there."Avery looked up at Leo with a questionable look"Chris targeted you because you were that kid that never talked and hanged out with the weird kids,not that they are weird!but,when you stood up to her when she talked about Faith..that took bravery.i admire that."
Avery smiled softly as his heart sped up happily"I never got your name by the way."Avery sat up completely from his slouched position"A-Avery."
"Nice to meet you,I'm sorry about Chris."Avery tilted his head"why do you hang out with her?"Leo grimaced"it makes me feel cool,I'm that classic music and theater geek so I never thought of myself as a cool kid.Chris is my cousin so I was kinda forced to follow her around."
"Wow.you were born into jackass."Leo laughed"I guess I was."Leo smiled at Avery god he has the most perfect smile.ah shut up brain,I thought you were straight!Avery smiled back.
"Is your eye ok?"Leo nodded"I'm fine,Avi."Avery felt himself blush why and how did he make that nickname sound hot?Leo looked out the window"hey,do you like music?"
Avery nodded"though I haven't learned any instruments and I probably sound like a dying cat dragged through traffic."Leo and Avery both laughed"it's ok,you can join my musical arts program.I'm sure we can teach you something."
Avery nodded"that sounds good."Leo smiled"great,we're supposed to have auditions on Friday if you're interested."Avery nodded"I'll be there,L."Leo smirked"Aw,that's a cute nickname!"Avery blushed"t-thanks."
