Episode 3:running around town

After everyone said their greetings Hunk walked up to Keith"ready?"Keith nodded,Hunk then looked to Lance"hey Lance,why don't you come with us?"Lance looked up from the ground and glanced at Keith.

"Sure.."he mumbled as Hunk smiled and began to lead,Keith following with Lance close behind.

Hunk started to name the buildings and stores around them as Keith glanced over at Lance"hey,you good?"Lance nodded"why'd you ask?"Keith rubbed the back of his neck"you just seemed off today.."Lance groaned"that's just how I am now,Keith."he didn't mean for it to come out as harsh as it did.

Keith bit his lip and glanced away"sorry."Lance tensed"n-no,I'm sorry.i didn't mean to sound angry."Keith looked ahead"it's fine."Lance crossed his arms and looked at the ground"you need a snickers?you're not the same when you're hungry."Lance stifled a laugh and his marks shone brighter then before.

"What's with your marks?"Lance looked up at Keith(yes Keith is taller in this,fight me)"oh,these?"he pointed self-consciously at the Altean marks on his cheekbones"I don't know,they are dull whenever I feel dull but they get bright when I feel feelings like:joy,anger,disgust.of course they all shine in different ways."Keith tilted his head."I know,confusing."

Keith chuckled"a little bit,at least I can read you better then before."Lance's marks flashed like a alarm"you could read me!?"Keith stifled a laugh"you look like a ambulance."Lance groaned and the marks dyed down.

Hunk stopped back at the Garrison"welp,that's every place I know."Keith had a lost look"please tell me you remembered the places."Keith shook his head awkwardly"nope,sorry."Hunk sighed"it's fine,I'll show you around tomorrow."Keith groaned quietly.

Lance looked up at Keith"maybe we should get you some better clothes."Keith looked at his Blade of Balmora uniform and nodded"me and Veronica can help you."Lance decided as he began to lead Keith to his house.

Lance,Veronica,and Keith all walked to the market and looked at different cloths items.

"How about this?"Veronica asked Keith showing him a shirt and jacket"uh..you guys realize I can find my own cloths right?"Veronica nodded.

Lance sighed"hey V?maybe we should let Keith pick out his own cloths?"Veronica looked Keith up and down"are you sure?"Keith and Lance both nodded"fine."she mumbled.

Lance and Veronica both waited for Keith to leave the market he walked into,it was a place called topic hot or something.

The door to the topic hot open making the two look up,Keith walked over and Lance almost gasped.

Keith wore black ripped jeans with a shirt that said"my chemical romance"with black sneakers and some kind of jacket around his waist,Lance's marks slowly glowed bright and blink slowly.

"Um,Lance?"Lance was snapped out his daze by Keith"you ok buddy?"Lance nodded"y-yeah,just zoned out."Veronica looked between the two and adjusted her glasses suspiciously.

Lance stood up with Veronica"you..um,look good?"it came out more as a question,Keith looked at his new outfit"thanks.."he mumbled out with a shy smile.

The group had some time to kill so they decided to look for something to eat"how could you survive off that space food?"Keith chuckled"a lot of throwing up,they are terrible cooks."Lance smirked"kinda like you."

Keith nudged Lance on the shoulder making him take a step to the side,Lance tried to push him but Keith barely moved"nice try,farmer."Lance sighed but still smiled.

"Alright you two,stop being cute."Veronica teased making Lance blush and his markings flash"Veronica!"he whined embarrassed,Keith just looked away.

Keith then pointed"there's a hot dog place over there."Lance smiled"perfect!"he and Veronica then raced over leaving Keith to walk behind them.

Lance ordered a plain hotdog with lots of ketchup,Veronica ordered one with mustard,and Keith ordered a plain hotdog with nothing.

The group sat at a nearby round table probably owned by the hotdog people and began to eat,Veronica practically inhaling it.

Keith took a hesitant bite before smiling"it's pretty good,right?"Lance asked as he started eating his hotdog,Keith nodded and stifled a laugh as ketchup was on the corner of Lance's mouth.

Lance noticed how amused Keith looked and tilted his head"what?"Keith chuckled softly"you have a little something on your mouth."Lance made a attempt to wipe it but didn't come quite close,Keith sighed"here."

Keith sat up a bit and wiped of the ketchup,Lance froze as his marks glowed slowly like before.

Keith backed up and sat down"uh..there."he mumbled going back to eating,Lance felt his face warm up"t-thanks."

Veronica smirked at the two then looked at the watch on her wrist"I should get going,bye you two!"she got up and walked away,Lance at the last of his hotdog and looked over to Keith.

"Where are you staying?"Keith finished as Lance asked the question"a motel like the others."Lance thought for a moment"you know what?you're my friend,you can stay with me for a bit!"Keith smiled shyly"really?"Lance nodded.

Keith stood up"sure,where do you live?"Lance stood up as well"the farm,it has a guest room if you want it."Keith nodded"that's fine with me,let's go!"Lance then began to lead Keith to the farm.
