We Need A Reunion

Part 7

We all decided to stay to eat and a waitress came over and took our order. She tried flirting with the boys who were oblivious to it, so I sat there giggling at her failed attempts of catching their attention. While waiting for the food the boys and I struck up a conversation. 

"So, not to be rude or anything but who are you exactly?" Harry asked looking at me.

"Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Kayleigh Doherty, I'm Louis' manager for his solo career." I say nicely sticking out my hand to him which he shakes.

"You're not only my manager Kay, you're also my best friend!" said Louis looking over at me.

"Yeah, yeah, but manager sounds more professional though" I say back smiling slightly.

"So how did you two meet then?" asks Niall.

"We met when I was seven, and Kay was six. She moved into the house next to mine and we were both playing outside and got to talking. I asked her to be my friend and we've been friends for the past 20 years now." replied Louis. I gave out a chuckle and the boys all looked at me.

"You didn't ask me to be you're friend remember? You seen me over the fence, drawing, and wanted to join. So you walked round the fence and sat next to me. When I looked up you said 'you're stuck with me now' and started drawing with me." I said laughing lightly.

"Yeah but that way sounds creepy, mine sounds like I was polite and it was a natural event and conversation." Said Louis pouting. The rest of the boys started laughing at that.

"Sounds like the way we got together, but with less cameras." Said Liam still laughing.

"Maybe that's how Louis make all his friends, just places himself in their lives until it's not creepy." Said Niall.

Conversation came easily between the five of us even after getting our meals. Half way through eating I got a call. Louis looked over at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Sorry, it's Uncle John, I better take this." I say standing up and going to the bathroom. I answer the call and put the phone up to my ear.

"Hello?"
"Hey Kayleigh, it's John"
"Hi John, what's up?"
"Well you know the live charity event the company is doing next week? The one where I choose fifteen of my signed artists to perform?"
"Yeah the one you always try to top each year? What about it?"
"Well, I've decided I want Louis to be one of the fifteen to perform if he's not too busy"
"Wait. Are you serious? That's amazing I'm sure he'll be so excited for it! I'll discuss it with him in a minute and get back to you with his answer in the morning ok?"
"That's fine sweetie. I've gotta go now but stay safe alright?"
"I will Uncle John. Thank you again for this"
"It's not a problem sweetie I'll see you next week then?"
"Yeah, I'll see you soon, bye!"
"Bye Kayleigh"

I walk back to the table excited to tell Louis the news. I must've had a look on my face because when Louis saw me he started questioning me.

"Kay? What's up? Is John ok? Nothing wrong, right? What's got you smiling so much?"

"Yes John is fine, everything's fine Lou. John just called to let me know something. You know the live charity performance he's set up for next week?" I say.

"Yeah, the one where he always tries to top the last years' one?" He said.

"Yeah that one. Well he's called to inform me that he's chosen you to perform at it! This is huge! It means he's recognised you're talent and he respects your music" I tell him excitedly.

"Are you serious?" Louis asked shocked.

"A hundred percent" I said grinning. Louis gave me a side hug in thanks mumbling about how he couldn't believe it.

"Did we miss something? Who's John? And what's Louis going to do?" Asked three very confused boys.
