Remember me (a Kylo Ren story)

IV.

"Let go of your hope Emery." 

His voice haunts my dreams, making me jump upright in bed. My eyes adjust to the light as I notice I'm back on the Resistance Base, in the medical wing. My eyes land on Poe and Finn standing in the corner. "Poe? You're alive? Finn said you didn't make it." I ask question after question. "Woah, woah, slow down, don't hurt yourself, Em. Those troopers got you really good in the head." He says brushing back a piece of my hair. "What happened to B- I mean Kylo? Where's Rey?" I look back and forth between the two. Finn clears his throat before speaking. "Kylo kidnapped Rey. She's been taken hostage." 

I swing my legs off the bed and attempt to stand. "We have to tell General Leia, we need to go get Rey before Kylo kills her." Poe stops me in my tracks. "Slow down there Em, we've already informed Leia about your sister and we're doing everything we can to get her out." I shake my head and swallow my tears. "I just got her back, after all these years and he's taken her from me." I stand again and neither Poe nor Finn try to stop me. Exiting the wing, I head towards the center of the base to the Command Center to find Leia, Han, and Chewie planning out our next move.

"General Organa." I walk towards the main control table, and stand next to Chewie. "Emery, how do you feel? How's your head?" Leia's motherly instinct coming out. "I feel better, but we need to get back to Starkiller base. Kylo has taken my sister hostage." My eyes burn as the tears come rushing in. "Han told me about your sister. We are doing everything we can, but we just can't go rushing in there without a plan." Leia's eyes cross over to the door as two Admirals walk in. Admiral Ackbar and Statura.

 "General Organa, we have the reconnaissance report of the enemy base." Ackbar states, pushing a holopad into Leia's hand. "So you aren't going to do anything." My fists clench as my anger rises within me. "We are going to do something Emery. You just have to be patient." Leia walks over to the radar with Statura, reviewing the reports. The entrance swings open as Finn and Poe walk in. Finn strides over to me, placing a hand upon my shoulder.

"So what's the plan? How are we getting Rey back?" Finn's eyes scan across the room landing on Han. "Don't look at me kid. I'm not the one in charge here." His index finger points towards Leia. "General. With all due respect, if you aren't going to help me get Rey back. I will do it myself." I stand my ground as I meet Leia's gaze. She looks displeased with my sudden outburst. "Please, we need to come up with a plan to bring back Re-" I stop talking mid sentence as I'm thrown into a force connection with Rey. I can see her and where she is. She can not see me, but she can hear me. She's unconscious, strapped to a table of some sort, restrained at the wrist and ankles. Kylo Ren kneeling in front of her. 

"Rey? If you can hear me wake up." My thoughts seem so loud compared to the quiet room. Rey's head jerks as she opens her eyes. "Where am I?" Fear is the only coming out of her mouth. "You're my guest." Kylo stands before walking towards her. "Rey, don't listen to him. Don't let him get in your head." I place my hands on the control table to steady myself. The force overtakes the control of my body.

"Where are the others?" Rey struggles under the restraints. "You mean the murders, traitors and thieves you call friends? " His voice, although distorted, is full of hatred. "You'll be relieved to know that I don't have any idea." Kylo walks around Rey, as she studies his actions. "You still want to kill me?" He questions. "That happens when you're being hunted by a creature in a mask." She hisses at him. I tremble as I watch Kylo's hands reach back and unhitch his disguise. His face is revealed as I gape at the sight of him. 

"He still looks like my Ben." My heart aches. "Tell me about the droid." His intense stare sent chills down Rey's back and my own. "Don't tell him anything about BB-8. Close off your mind." I hope she can hear me. "How do I do that?" Rey's thoughts ring in my head. "Block out his power, concentrate. " I can see her face shift as she tries. "He's a BB unit with a selenium drive and a thermal hyper-scan vindicator-" Kylo's words silence her.
