"NO!" I shout as I awake my nightmare. My surroundings come into view as I remember I'm a prisoner of the First Order. I wrestle with the restraint placed on my wrists and ankles, desperate to break free. Hot tears slide down my face and I gasp for air. "Do you always dream of me?" I scream as Kylo's voice startles me. "Why do you always watch me when I sleep?" I asked, turning my face away from him. "Answer my question." He sternly says as he grabs my jaw and turns my head to face him. "After the night in the Jedi temple, I dreamt of you for months." I advert my eyes to the ground.
"I only dreamt of you from time to time after that." I sigh and remember the night terrors I had to endure. I look up to see that Kylo's jaw dropped ever so slightly, before fixing his composure. "When you dream of me, is it always a nightmare like the one you just had right now?" His dark eyes tell me he's fearful of my answer but his body language tells me a different story.
"Yes." My voice barely heard above a whisper. Kylo clears his throat before speaking. "Good. I'm happy to hear I invoke fear in you." He turns away from me. "I'm not afraid of you, Kylo. You may invoke fear in everyone else, but not me." I say. Kylo turns around to face me, slowly walks over to me. He leans in, inches from my face. "You should fear me; I am nothing but a monster. A hollowed shell of the man you once knew." His voice is low as he speaks.
"You aren't a monster. Not to me. You're just lost." I gaze into his eyes, the golden specks reflect off the fluorescent lighting of the room. He smirks. "I'm not lost, I know exactly what I want. I always get what I want." He leaned in closer, our foreheads touching. "What exactly do you want, Kylo?" My eyes look to the scar that runs down his face, it's much smaller than the one he gave me. I flinch slightly when his cold gloved hand rests against my cheek. As his thumb caresses my cheek, our eyes lock.
He pulls our heads apart, his breath tickles my ear. "I want the map to Skywalker." He laughs as he pulls away. "You really think I'm going to give you it." I laugh at the thought. The door hisses as it opens and two stormtroopers walk. "No, but maybe after this, you'll be more willing to give it to me." Kylo exits the room as the troopers close in on me.
The troopers walk over and release the restraints on my wrists and ankles. Before I have time to attack, I am pulled off the table and out the door. I thrashed about, trying to break free from their hold on me. The tip of a blaster is placed under my chin, making me freeze with fear. "Keep up the fight, and we'll go against orders and kill you on site." The robotic voice sends chills down my spine. We walk down the halls of the finalizer, before I am shoved through a door threshold. The force of their shove sent me flying to the neatly polished floor.
"Emery." An unfamiliar voice rings in my ears. I look up to find a tall, scrawny man with orange hair. "Ah, General Hugs." I say, pushing myself off the floor to stand. The troopers swarmed in and wrapped their hands around my biceps to hold me in place. I watch as Hux stalks his way over to me and removes one of his gloves. His actions are quick, much too quick. I didn't register what had happened until my cheek began to sting from the contact. Hux quickly pulls back on the glove over his pale hand. "It's General HUX." He says, irritation in his voice.
"As we all know, you've seen the map to Skywalker. The Supreme Leader wants it, and is willing to go to any lengths to get it from you. Since Ren couldn't get it out of you, Supreme Leader Snoke requested my help." He walks in circles around me as he speaks. "Like I told Kylo, I'm not giving you anything." I say through gritted teeth. A small chuckle from Hux fills the room. "We'll see about that." Hux walks away from me, his steps fading as he exits the room. Silence becomes a prominent theme in the room. My labored breathing could be heard from miles away. Several moments pass, my patience wearing thin as I wait for something, anything, to happen. The sound of the door rising quickly increases my heart rate.
