9: Life Changing Decisions.

Ayman's POV.
Farringdon, United Kingdom.
Two Months Later.

It's been a few eventful months so far since the relocation of Aunty Ameena and her daughter with her constant strong headed daughter coming into our house as she pleased and caused havoc whenever she saw fit leaving unrest in her path. To be honest I hated her guts but with not much that could be done about it I try to say away from her as much as possible when she's around.

As I return from work and settle into my room for a nap before it's time for dinner there's a knock on my door "come in." I voice and fahya's head appears through the door. "Daddy is asking for you." She informs me "what's wrong?" I ask her picking up my phone and following after her.

"He sounded serious but I don't know what the problem is exactly just go see him." She says stopping by the stairs i nod and make my way down to the sitting room where I find him and mummy seated engrossed in what looks like a heated argument immediately I clear my throat they both look up.

"Daddy you asked for me?" I say taking a sit beside mummy. "Yes Ayman, I have something very important I want to discuss with you and I want you to keep an open mind and understand everything I'm about to say to you."

"What is it, babu dai matsala koh hope there is no problem?" I ask concerned. "Not really, it's about Nadia." Immediately i scrunch my face in disgust everyone is well aware of our squabbles at home because we're constantly at it like little children fighting over a toy.

"What did she do and what does it have to do with me?" I grit out "it's not about what she did but about what's happening to her." My father rephrased. And i nod giving him the sign to go on.

"It's about her father." I immediately look back at him remembering the efforts it took to temporarily dissipate the tension between her parents because of her it was so serious that Daddy had to travel to Nigeria.
"They had to move here because of him and yet his advances keep getting worse and closer. We're still trying to find a loophole that will finally silence him for good we just need some time but we don't really have that as it is." He explains.

"And how do I have anything to do with all this?" I question getting antsy "I want you to get married to Nadia." He says "what?" I whisper believing I didn't hear him well the first time. "Daddy, you better be joking because if not this is not going to happen, ever!" I deadpan standing up from the chair I'm occupying.

"I'm not done talking you will sit back down and listen." He commands raising his voice. "Do you think it was easy for me to make this decision or do you think this is what we all want. This man could kill her if he ever has the chance to gain custody of her and the only way to prevent this from happening is by getting her married therefore she will answer to someone else and not her parents." He says

I take a breather before replying "then what do I tell Bilkisu? I spoke to you about her daddy and you know how much I want to get married to her but what do I do the first chance I get to get married I agree to marry Bibi?" I ask him.

"You will tell her that the wedding cannot happen again and to allow her go find someone else as she is still young." He simply says and i scoff. "Look how easily you're dismissing all of this simply because all you care about is what you want." I say "Ayman!" Mummy yells for the first time saying something since I walked into the  room.

"Don't talk to your father like that, are you crazy?" She semi yells and I keep quiet I always knew they never liked Bilkisu hence the delayed involvement with her family. "As you want me to listen to you Daddy and do as you say then you will listen to my one condition. I will get married to Bibi only because I owe it to her mother but, I will get married to Bilkisu three months after take it or leave it this is my decision." I say before walking out of the room and taking off to my room not waiting for them to say anything else.
