"Got something?" Xiumin asked as he watched Tao fumbled upon the radio.

The buzzing and static sounds coming from the speaker aren't a good sign as Tao shook his head in frustration.

"Is there anyone who can hear us? Hello!?" Tao spoke again but yet again, there's no reply. His sharp voice echoed around the smooth cemented walls and floors and it reverberated above the ceiling.

"Do you think there are still people alive out there?" Suho commented, depressed with the idea of no one responding.

"I don't know. I mean I work in a bakery before this thing happened without any fighting skills, how much more for those people who do have surviving skills out there. There should be at least." He sighed.

"The military. Do you think it's still standing?" Kris asked.

Tao glared as he faced Kris who's standing a few meters away from where Tao is sitting.

"Do you think I know Kris, huh?" He spat. Nuisance slurred in his voice.

"I was just asking!" Kris defended as he himself felt upset with the idea that there's no picking up.

Everyone is getting worried. Frustrated with the fact that no one seems to be at reach in this pandemic that swallowed humanity.

Their supplies are running low. The supply run around the sides of the nearest resource locations is getting more difficult to access by the passing weeks as the infected roamed and multiplied in numbers around the vicinity. And there's just enough time, for now, to have their direction coming towards their refuge due to the consistent road paths that they are taking.

"Is there any?" Chanyeol came into view. His clothes were dirtied by rot-smelling muddy blood.

The rotting smell hit his fellas' noses and so they scrunched their face.

"Nothing yet," Tao answered as he tilted the radio and tried to find any alive frequency other than the static noises coming from it.

"How many?" Kris asked.

"Doubling in numbers every passing day. They won't go away so it's better to shut them down as fast as possible before they attract the others to head our way." He said in a deep voice. His hands are bloody with the ax he's holding dripping with dark brown blood.

"Where's Baekhyun?" Xiumin asked.

"Rounding the fences for any damages," Chanyeol answered.

"Gotta head to the front tower. Kyungsoo seemed to saw something in the woods camping and setting a campfire the other night. We can't let our guards down even just a minute. Update me as soon as you get something." Chanyeol spoke before going up the rooftop.

"Found anything?" Chanyeol asked as he stood beside Kyungsoo who was sitting on one of the chairs set up near the hip-height walls preventing people to fall down the ground.

"Nothing unusual. Just couple more zombies heading this way." He mumbled as he sipped his cold coffee.

Chanyeol nodded at the latter's response as he watched the perimeter himself. Nothing seemed to be abnormal by the place. Honestly, it got pretty silent these days yet zombies are cashing towards them either accidentally or intentionally, no one knows.

"About the campfire yesterday on the east side?" Chanyeol asked.

"A horde of zombies might have wandered their way to the camping site they set up last night. Either they fled already or got welcomed to the family of zombies by now." He spoke. The breeze hitting his face with a feeling of worry.
