2-Internship!

~(Y/n) POV~

"Got everything? Clothes? Hero suit? Girl products? Hidden snack?" Kano asks and I groan.
     "Yesss. Why do you keep asking? You're acting like an older brother." I say and he looks offended. "It's true." I say and he huffs before turning back to driving.
     "We're here. Get out, Fire Chicken." Kano says and I laugh before grabbing my duffel bag and hero case.
      "Bye, loser. See ya in a week." I say and pat the side of his car before walking to the door while he drives away. A week of hell. Perfect. I think as I open the door and head to the desk.
      "You the intern?" The woman at the desks asks when I walk up and I nod.
      "Yeah. Do I need to change into my costume first and then head up? Or go up and then change?" I ask and she points towards a bathroom and I get the hint and head in there.
      I open my hero case and smile. Man, I love this costume. I think with a smile as I pull out the long sleeve (f/c) fireproof shirt. It has a big hole in the back so my wings can easily be free and move around without any trouble. I take off my pants and change into the black fireproof pants that has fake fire painted in the ends. I quickly pull on the black army boots and grab my sky goggles and put them around my neck before I close the case and walk back out.
     "They're ready for you. Eleventh floor. It's the last room at the end of the hall." The woman at the counter says plainly when I get there and points to the elevator.
     "Thank you. Have a good day." I say and walk away and hear her says a small "thank you" as I leave. Eleventh floor. Last door at the end of the hall. I think as I push the button and the elevator rises.
     I breathe a shaky sigh before stepping out and walking the hall before I get to the door. I'm about the knock but the door opens by itself. "What the?" I say and look at the red feather that's floating by the doorknob.
     "Come in. We don't have all day." A slightly annoyed voice says and I walk in quickly and place my bag and case to the side before I walk in further.
     "Thank you for the offer." I give a small bow and hear a hardy laugh.
     "Someone has manners." I look at the cute blond boy who finally stopped laughing enough to speak.
     "Clearly you could use some." I reply with a grin and see his face fall a little. Blondie may seem rude but he has an aura that makes me feel safe. I think before turning to the man at the desk.
     "You're interesting. Anyways, you're welcome, even though I know you were forced to come here. I'll try to make this a good experience for you and Hawks here. I'm Nano Tani." Tani says and I smile with a small nod.
     "(Hawks?) Thank you. I appreciate it." I say and Tani smiles at us.
     "Hawks will show you to your room. After you set your stuff down we're gonna go to the training grounds to see how far you've gotten." Tani says and gestures towards the blond and I nod before grabbing my bags.
      "Lead the way, Little Red." I say and he chuckles before walking out the door with me behind.
     "So what's your name?" Hawks asks as he near the elevator.
     "(Y/n) (L/n). But my hero name's Phoenix. Nice to meet you, Little Red." I say and Hawks huffs.
     "I'm probably the same age as you or a little older. Besides, I'm an inch taller." He says and to prove his point lays his arm across my shoulder.
     "No comment." I'm definitely older than you. I think and he grins with a laugh.
     "I win." He says as we step in the elevator. "You got a boyfriend? If you don't, I'm surprised. You're pretty hot." Hawks states and I chuckle a little.
     "No. But my friend, Nemuri, keeps trying to set me up with guys that obliviously would prefer to date her over me. She has a literal model body and everyone basically drools over her. Her quirk suits her." I ramble unknowingly and don't notice the smile on his face as I talk.
     "Well they all need a new brain. You look better than any model." Takami says with a flirty grin and I blush, making my wings turn a slight blue.
     "T-thanks. I'm not the best with guys but you're pretty handsome yourself. The hair tops it off." I say and flick the lose hair that's in his face and he chuckles at that.
     "Thanks." He says with a grin as the elevator dings. "This way." He walks out and I follow after him and to the room.
     "Why is there two beds?" I ask and he grins as he plops down on one and puts his hands behind his head.
     "We're roommates, baby!" He grins and I huff as I walk towards the other bed.
     "I'll change in the bathroom and you can change out here. You can have first shower, I never take long and I don't mind cold showers if you like extremely hot ones." I ramble as I toss the empty case and duffel bag on the bed.
     "I won't mind seeing you nude." He states and I blush as my wings fully turn blue.
     "N-no! Pervert!" I glare at him as I blush madly.
     "No. It's just fun to see you flustered." He says and I growl before walking to the door.
     "F*** you." I state annoyed.
     "Only if you help." I can just hear his grin as I irk while I stop.
     "This internship, is gonna be the death of me." I state as I walk away rubbing my temples.
"You act like you've never been flirted with before." Hawks says walking out of the room after me.
"Because I never have. I don't really do the romance department." I say not looking at him as I push the down button.
"That's shocking. With how you look I'm surprised you're not being snatched away." Hawks says and I sigh.
"You act like that's a bad thing." I say with a sigh as I step in and he does too.
"No. It's a good thing." He says with a sneaky smirk before he pins me between his arms at the wall in the elevator. "For me. I'll just have to make you mine and then you won't have to worry about it." He says and I flush at this. The blue in my wings illuminated the features of his handsome face.
"W-why? You don't know me." I say and he looks a little flustered. Like actually flustered.
"As cheesy as this sounds, I feel like I need to have you close to me." He says with a small bit of pink on his cheeks and I flush at this.
"I-I...kinda feel the same. I feel a little safer when you're near me." I confess and he smiles widely before backing away.
"Glad to hear that. What's your favorite food?" He asks and I shrink a little.
"Huh?...oh chicken. I know! I know! You think I'm a cannibal!" I say and he hugs me randomly.
"I'm not the only one." He fake cries and I try to look at him.
"What are you talking about? You've got me confused on a few different levels." I say and he lets go.
"My favorite food is chicken. I get called out on it by my peers when I eat it all the time." He says and I smirk.
"Me too. Hey, maybe you're just a chicken hawk? Their main food is *finger drum roll* chicken!" I say and he laughs at this.
"That's a new one. Well if we get time maybe I can't take us out and we can grab some?" He says and I smile with a small nod as we walk down to the fields. "Only in private you can call me by my name. Keigo Takami. Don't tell anyone I told you my name." He says with a grin and I smile slightly at this.
     Keigo....I like that name. I think happily as I walk beside him.
"Glad to see you two finally decided to join us." Tani says and I chuckle as we enter the training field.
"She couldn't get enough of me." Takami states with his arms behind his head and I elbow his side and he winces at my unpredicted action.
"Says the one who blocked me from leaving the elevator." I state and walk past him as he grins with mischief.
"No romance during training. And don't let it get in the way of your hero work. You're both gonna be heroes working under the government." Tani states sternly and I nod.
"Gotcha." I reply and start to stretch my limbs a little.
"What are you doing?" Takami asks and I don't look up at him but continue to stretch.
"Stretching. What did you think Tani brought us here just to lecture us? Definitely not." I start to stretch my wings and start to make the feathers hotter or cooler as I move them around.
"Wow..." I hear Takami say in awe as I look up and see his eyes on my wings.
"You act like you've never seen wings before." I state with a chuckle and look at him with my hands on my hips.
"Never on anyone besides for me." He says as he lazily stretches which annoys me.
"You're doing it wrong." I glare at him and he looks at me confused as I walk towards him. "Back straight, arm over your shoulder going to the opposite, and you can easily reach around and grab it with your other hand." I say as I unconsciously fix his posture during the stretch.
"If you wanted to get this handsy with me I would've let you when we get back to the room." Takami states with a cheeky grin and I smile back at him and hold his arms tighter and he winces with a slight yelp.
"Finish stretching. I'm gonna ask Tani what he wants us to do." I let go of him and walk over to our grinning mentor.
"You handle him well. That's good. We plan to have you both as hero partners since you have similar quirks." Tani states and I hum in response.
"What exactly did you want us to do? I'm not trying to rush you or anything it's just I was stuck in a car for three hours and I need to release some energy." I say and he chuckles.
"Hawks! Go to one side of the field. You and Phoenix will be sparing." Tani calls and Takami grins before heading over and grins at me.
     "Good luck, Fire Chicken." He states and I laugh which makes him slightly confused.
     "That's funny. You actually guessed my nickname that a friend gave me." I say and he smirks before flying at me with quick speed.
    I panic a little but quickly engulf my arm in fire and dash towards him and his eyes widen before he jumps over me and dodged my hit. I quickly swing around and try to hit him but he's already moved.
I feel myself get kicked down a little and quickly turn around and throw a punch before I block his real attack with my other arm. I smirk at him and quickly pull him closer to me as I have my arm engulfed in flames.
He panics and quickly kicks my stomach and makes me let go because I fly back a little. I stare in shock as I see the five flying red feathers coming straight at me.
     What the heck!? I think before quickly using my fire to quickly burn them down to ash and I see his face looked pained. He can feel that!? I feel bad now. I think grimly before flying at him again. "I know your weakness now! Thanks!" I say, trying to intimidate him, as I reach for his wings to distract him from what I'm really gonna do.
He quickly ducks his body so that I'd fly over him. I grin and quickly punch the center of his back with my non fire hand and he falls to the ground with a harsh thump!
I quickly pin him down and look over to see a very impressed looking Tani. He grins and starts walking over.
"I think Phoenix wins. Congratulations. You both did very well. You both can turn in. I need to decide what I'll do for training ideas for you both." Tani says and I get off Takami after he declares my victory and I nod at him.
"Thank you. See you tomorrow." I say with a small bow before walking away towards the huge agency.
"How did you learn to fight like that?" Takami asks catching up to me and I smile.
"An old teacher I had years ago. He taught me way to trick the enemy and use their weakness against them after I discover it." I say and remember back to my very first UA teacher who taught me a bit about hero fighting because he really wanted me to be a hero and not in his general education class.
"Really? I'll have to get a few lessons from him." Takami states with a smile and I stop for a second before I start walking again.
"He died long ago. He was a wise and nice teacher. He always wanted me to be a hero. He'd be happy to see me here. I could teach you a few things if you want." I say with a small smile at the memories.
"I'm sorry to hear he passed. I would like to learn a few things though!" He finished excitedly and I chuckle before we enter into our shared room.
"You can take a shower. I don't think I need one. I've use enough of my quirk where I don't smell like smoke and cinders. I'll take one in the morning. Helps wake me up better anyway." I ramble as I open my bag and start to dig around for a pair of pajamas.
     D***it I put them at the bottom. I think annoyed as I start to take stuff out of my bag. Soap, toothbrush, hairbrush, feather brush, ziplock bag with hair ties, my strawberry flavored pocky, shirt, pants.
"Ooo! Pocky!" I hear Takami say excitedly as he reaches for the pink box but I slap his hand away. "Ouchie!" He says childishly and I glare at him.
"Mine. These are my favorite snack and I only brought one box. No touch!" I scold and he grins before he nods.
"Now I know what snacks to get you when you're on your woman time. I might get yelled at less." He states and I blush a little.
"Want one?" I say with a sigh and see his golden eyes shining happily.
"YES! GIMME GIMME!" He says and tries to reach for the box but I grab it before he can. "HEY!" He grins and I boop his nose and he stops and blushes.
"I swear you're a five year old in a fifteen or sixteen year old's body." I say with a smirk as I open the box and pull out one before I give it to him.
"Wanna share?" He says and leans towards me with the stick in between his teeth and looking at me.
"Sure." I say and bite half of the stick off and I hear him chuckle.
"Touché." He states and I laugh before I finally find a pair of pajamas to wear.
"Dibs on the bathroom real quick." I state and walk into the room and quickly lock it. Oh my gosh, he's so cute! Why do I feel so happy yet flustered around him? I'm so confused with this! I need to ask Nemuri about this later. I think as I change before getting out of the room to see Takami shirtless.
"Like the view?" He says as he admires my blushing face before I turn it to the side.
"Yes. Now take a shower. You smell like dirt." I turn my head back and counter making him chuckle.
"Fair point. Good night, (Y/n)." Takami says and quickly kisses my forehead before darting into the bathroom and locking it.
I blush madly as I lay on my blanket {Because you can't resize your wings you can't really get under a blanket} and quickly fall asleep because of my drained energy.

"Daughter, go order food for us. Make sure it's not burnt or undercooked." My mom commands me and I sigh.
"Yes, mom. I'll be back in a while." I say with a small smile compared to her scowl as I walk out the door and down the street to the restaurant.
"What would you like to eat?" The cashier says happily as I reach the counter.
"I would like-"
"NOBODY MOVE!" A guy shouts as he breaks the glass door and shoots the roof. I'm one of the people who look at him in fear instead of scream.
My wings are flared up to look more intimidating and because I'm startled. "Hide under the desk and call the police. Don't worry he can't see you through my wings." I whisper and I hear a small whimper before I see them lower out of the corner of my eye.
"GIVE ME THE MONEY AND NO ONE GETS HURT!" The guy shouts again and heads towards me and the counter.
I glare at him and stand my ground. "There are different ways to get money quickly if you're in a tough spot. Don't do this if you'll regret it tomorrow, sir." I say calmly and he looks at me with sadness hidden in his eyes but keeps the gun pointed at my chest.
"D-DON'T TALK LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT'S WRONG, GIRL!" He yells with tears at the corner of his eyes.
"Okay, I won't. What's your name, sir?" I ask and he sniffles.
"Tai." He says and looks at me.
"Okay, Tai, I'm sorry I act like I know what's wrong. I won't ask you about anything else." I say with my hands up as I look at him.
His eyes widen in shock and betrayal as he hears the sirens pull up. "YOU B****! YOU TRICKED ME! HOW DARE YOU!" Tai yells and I step back a little as he points the gun barrel against my chest. "I'M GONNA MAKE YOU DIE!" He yells before he gets pulled back harshly and his gun goes off a few times.
I hear the ringing in my ears and the screams that were my own as I stare at a regretful Tai as he gets cuffed.
"NO! I'M SO SORRY!" I can faintly hear him yell as I fall to my knees as I clutch my stomach and chest.
"Gug." I make a weird noise as I see the blood fall from my mouth as I look down.
"Get her on a stretcher! Now-"

"(Y/N)!? WAKE UP!" My eyes open quickly as I feel myself being shaken harshly as I wake from my dream.
"T-Takami? W-what happened?" I look at him as tears fall from my (e/c) eyes.
"You burned your blanket. You were having a nightmare." He says and removes his hands and I stare in horror as I see the burn blisters.
"T-Takami your hands! They have burns!" I say as I grab his wrist and he chuckles.
"Worth it. You wanna talk about it?" He says with a smile and I look at him concerned.
"Let's find something to help your hands. It's the least I owe you." I say and get up and go into the bathroom and look for Aloe lotion.
"You don't really have to. I'm fine." He says when I come back out with the lotion.
"Hush." I say and make him sit on his bed and he huffs. I grab my box of Pocky and give him one as I spread the lotion gently onto his hands. "I'm so sorry, Takami. This happens often and I forgot that tonight was when it happens." I say not looking at him as I run the lotion around.
"Don't apologize. You couldn't help it. Hey, if you give me your number when this happens again at night, call me and we can talk until you fall asleep again." Takami says and I chuckle as I start working on his other hand.
"I'll give it to you after I'm done." I say with a smile and he blushes a little as his golden eyes shine happily.
"Really!?" He asks excitedly and I flick the fallen strand of hair that's in his face.
"Yes. Now don't touch your hands. Are you allergic to latex?" I ask and he shakes his head. I quickly go get two medical gloves from the bathroom and put them on his hands. "There you go." I pat his arm and walk over to his phone and wipe my hands before I turn it on.
"Here I'll type the password." He says and fails to type the password because of the gloves. "*sigh* 1234576." He states and I chuckle before unlocking the phone.
I type in my number and add my name as Fire Chicken and then send a message to my phone and I hear it ding and put his phone down.

"Really? That's my name?" Takami chuckles and I laugh.
"Yep!" I smile at him and set his contact.
"I'm pooped. Goodnight, Beautiful!" He says and I blush before laying back on my bed and getting some dreamless sleep.
