3rd Person POV
Chuuya and Dazai stood outside of the Mori's office. They heard a few things that concerned you. Even though they couldn't save you, they made their own promises to the girl.
Chuuya rolled his eyes and nudged the boy to open the door. Dazai sighed, not wanted to talk to him much. He opened the door, sounding an alarm in the other 2 executives' head. Mori and Kouyou turned to them, a mix of surprise and shock and angry too.
"Welcome back Dazai-kun and Chuuya-kun," Mori announced. "is there something you need?"
Dazai responses with more confidence than Mori had ever saw from the boy within his 10 years of life with Port Mafia. It was absolutely stunning to him. However, for what cost? The man narrowed his eye slightly, the boy was still in love with [S Surame]. He took a look at Chuuya too. The passion he held for the girl was still there. He sighed internally. How unfortunate.
"We overheard you talk about documents that you've found." Dazai stated off. He signaled the boy beside him. "We want to know what they're about, Boss."
"Hmm~" The man continued to hum. The paperwork in front of him was more interesting than the 2 in front of him. A few documents he and Kouyou had organized were about this fog incident that had been harming ability users. It was somehow related to this deaths—as suicides by their own abilities. This one caught his attention the most. But there was another. "And why should I? You both have done nothing to help Port Mafia for the last month and so. There's no merit to tell you anything."
He gaze lifted up to meet the boys. He wanted to know what was their reason to take action. Was it [S Surname] again? He admitted maybe it was best to never have these 2 be around females—other then Kouyou—again.
He watched the pair fall silent. He frown before going back to the papers. On his right there was an article about a cult-like being human trafficking into this tower-like structure and doing experiments on them. However it was a rumour since there was no concrete evidence to defend it. It was ludicrous. In his point of view, how could there be a cult that had all these rumours about it and when they investigated it nothing showed up. It was surrounded by the Arctic Ocean and many survivors had claim and brought this to light. Saying things like the tower exploded, many kids were experimented on and death because their bodies weren't developed enough and cultist kidnapped many of them, people originally from small towns and cities. He was fascinated by this article. However it was only one article. Many of the survivors died, organs ruptured or lost, diseases and cancer because of the environment their were in and even turning crazy, becoming lunatics many days after the interview. The whole story was written off as scam, the citizens were immigrants and was debunked, never seeing the light of day again. It was almost 9 years ago. A german newspaper article. He was too engrossed with this article.
"...Mori-san, are you listening?" Kouyou said, tapping on the desk.
He laughed, excusing himself. "Sorry sorry~ aha~ So what's your response you 2?"
Dazai nudged Chuuya. He glared at the boy before talking. "We'll take mission to earn back our eminence in Port Mafia. However, Boss, you need to promise you'll explain everything now."
Mori blinked in confusion. "Is that so? Then—"
"Boss!" A man yelled outside the doorway. Dazai though a good look at the man. He was from the construction team.
"What's wrong?" Mori said. He was a little annoyed by this. But that means they found something. "Speak."
The man was scared of him. But something he got his words out of his mouth. "We've something a safe in [S Surname]-san's room. But there seems to be a warning of a detonator in it if we guess it wrong or attempt to breach it!"
He stood up and Kouyou followed him. As he reached the hallway, he looked at the 2 in confusion. "What are you standing there for? I thought you wanted me to explain everything. Now come."
The 2 were shocked but nevertheless followed him, trying to catch up to his' and Kouyou's speed. A feeling of regret disappeared. This was their first step. They said, "Yes Boss/Mori-san!"
