3rd Person POV
Without another word, the two of them dashed outside. They didn't know where they were going—they didn't even know where to search either—but they couldn't stand that place with the murderer's photo in front of him. That demon...!
They left the building as soon as they could. They wanted information on something they thought never existed until now. A man with piercing violet irises. Where could they find someone like that? By the time they realized it, they were at a shady shop by the harbour. They looked at each other in confusion. What was the connection they have to it?
They didn't know.
But it couldn't be that bad, right?
They invited themselves in. A cloaked women sat in a chair diagonal from them. She look up with dull eyes before welcoming them to her humble and dingy astate. In front of her was a table covered with some sort of deep violet cloth and a crystal ball resting on top. It was a place only describe as faulty.
Before they could see themselves out, the woman stopped them. "Are you two here to ask about a lover?"
In the instance, Chuuya activated his ability. He was sure the person knew something. Whether it be [S Surname] or not. Dazai continued to observe the woman before sighing. He walking to her and took a step in front of her. She chuckled as Dazai calmed Chuuya down. He turn to the woman as Chuuya leaned on Dazai's seat.
"Yes. By any chance, did you know how she was?" Dazai says. The woman shook her head.
"You must have misunderstood me customer." She starts. "I only read what your heart said to me. That's all."
A little confused by this, he pushed it down to an assumption that she guessed. It was too vague of a question after all. He wanted to stand up and leave with Chuuya.
But something stopped him and made him stay. "I see. Then, can you do a reading for us?"
"Of course." She said before saying a bunch of gibberish that the two of them couldn't wrap their heads around.
"Hey...!" Chuuya bud in. "What are you doing!? We don't have that... When has fortune-telling help anyone before...!?"
"Calm down..." Dazai simmered, not taking a glance away from the woman. "Let's see if any information we receive can be of any use first. We don't know where to start after all..."
Chuuya narrowed his eyes at his partner in crime. He wasn't wrong but he didn't like it at all. It was too suspicious after all and what could a fortune-teller—who could be a sham—say to them that they didn't already know?
"It seems..." She whispers, only just barely could they hear her words. "Even if she can't be with you, she will always be in her mind. She also hopes you two will do the same for her. So live for her as she does for you. That's all."
"Hah?" Chuuya muttered in confusion, turning to Dazai who was as equally as stunned. They were of course going to do that. She was a major part of their lives. There was no way they were going to forget about her. "Looks like a scam after all—"
"Where did she go?" Dazai said, almost jumping out of his seat. Chuuya turned to see no one in front of them not. He was equally as shocked now. That woman... isn't a spy now... is she? Well it didn't matter to him. He'll just track her down if she is and beat her up. If not, then that's all.
"Let's go." Chuuya turned around and left through the entrance. At that moment, time stopped.
He saw her. The one who they cried their heart out for. Without thinking, he ran to grab her hand. But it was cold.
"Hey idiot! What are you doing...?!" He heard Dazai shout as he walked over. He looked at the boy and sighed. "I know you're love sick, but how about taming yourself before another?"
He was embrrassed. The ginger looked at the girl. And as he knew it. It didn't look like her. But she resembled her figure. But it wasn't her. Her hair colour, shape and size wasn't the same. Her eyes weren't either. Her voice, clothing and height wasn't too... But her face—her expression of being confused was the same. He wondered if her other expressions would be the same. He wanted to test it out.
"Umm..." The girl muttered, trying to pull his arm off her. "Could you let go of my please?"
He quickly let go of it. "Sorry! My bad, but you really looked like a person I know."
She chuckled—and it was one of the purest things he heard before. However, he could only picture [S Name] with it. "She must be an important person if you remember her in a time like this."
He chuckled. "Yes, very."
Dazai finally reached his partner before realizing he was flirt with a girl. He rolled his eyes and waited a bit.
"Oh no! I'm going to be late for the ferry!" She exclaimed in a shock expression again—like an animated character—as she looked at her wristwatch. "I need to go now! Nice chatting with you!"
Before she could go, he called out for her. "Hey! What's your name!"
She smiled before turning to them while still running. "[Name]!"
