1st Person POV
I arrived on the island. Those dreams stuck to me and I think I realize that I've been playing with blood for quite some bit as unsanitary as that sounds. I just hope that was only the case of playing-with-blood in my childhood. I shivered, about to sneeze. Someone's talking shit about me.
Anyways, I remember the entrance should be somewhat at the base of the volcano, in the jungle. I left the boat quickly, walking towards the forest's entrance. It easily lead to the inner work of the jungle.
I passed by a small group of people, probably inhabitants. One of them looked at me strangely. "It's that crazy girl from before..."
It caught my attention. Crazy person? So there must be more I need to know about my past then from my memories now. However, I doubt I can talk to him out in the open.
"...you're right..."
"...you don't think she can hear us right...?"
I chuckled, smiling towards them. I watch them freeze before quicken their pace. I must have gotten my sadistic behaviour because of Dazai... I lightly sigh as I left the town as quick as possible, buying supplies I might need when travelling. Who knows what I can find left in the ruins.

The trail was mostly gone. It was overlapped by grass and earth that there was all most nothing left of it. But somehow I felt as if it pulled me forward towards where I wanted to go. I bushed pass some overgrown leaves that hung low towards the ground, blocking vision of the huge roots that bulged from the ground and it's stump. Most of the trees were still in tact but a few had more promising days, I could assume. I spun open a bottle of water before taking a sip of it. It was cool and refreshing—a perfect thirst quencher. But... it hurts...!
I clutched my head, collapsing own my knees. The bottle dropped as it pooled around me. My head started to ache, as if it was being ripped apart. It hurts!! I closed my eyes, furrowing my brows in annoyance. A migraine again... This time it's even worse though...!! I tried to relax as much I could. I didn't want to worsen it after all. But it wasn't getting any better...
All I could see was—what I presume to be me—sitting on the ground with chains attached onto my wrists and ankles. It all took place in a grimy and poor lit area, probably at the private cells I use to heard about. But, did I also experience it? I'm not too sure... However, I looked like I passed out, blood staining the ragged and floor with it's colours. What was also noticeable were the slash markings on my skin. But I don't have any of those—they also seem unforgiving ones, probably leaving a mark afterwards. So it can't be me... Then who's that...?
I jerked forwards when I heard a strange noise. A growl of some sorts? But from what animal...? If that's even an animal...
I slowly stood up, my hand starting to go back to normal. I picked up the bottle of water, seeing there was barely any left. I reached in my bag, finding a few painkillers to slip into my mouth. I gulped the rest of the water before putting it away.
"HELP!! ANYONE, HELP ME!!"
I jumped at the voice, it was so close. It sounded more masculine, so maybe it was a man's voice? I ran towards it. I was interested what kind of creature was chasing him. In the distance, I could see trees were wrecked, topping over each other with claw marks indent in them. What the...
"YOU OVER THERE!!" I turn around to see a man in a lab coat running towards me with some sort of creature behind him. It was a sickly pale, a form that use to resemble a human perhaps. It had legs that it was using to pedal his body forwards. It jumped onto the trunk of the trees before kicking off. When it did, it knocked over the tree, leaving cracked in it's wake. I sighed. He absolutely had something to do with it. Probably human experiments or something along the lines—something mad scientists would do despite the movies to warn them not to do it—like Dr.Frankstein and his monster. "PLEASE HELP ME!!"
I reformed my knives into a katana before walking towards it. I was on edge. I didn't know if cutting it's head off would work, but that it's what I'm aiming for. After all, it's all like all those zombie movies.
It jumped over him and closer towards me. I easily dodged it's attack before slicing a pair of legs off. It fumbled onto the ground, as I saw something bubble from it's wound. It looked like it could regenerate. I slammed it onto the ground with my leg before cutting it's head off. That should do it—
I watch it wiggle on the ground. Gross... I pinning it's torso down with the katana. Maybe shooting it's brains—if it as any—out would kill it. I grabbed my handgun from my combat vest. I tested it as his head regenerated, still no effect as it wiggled harder underneath my foot—which I used to stomp it from wiggling anymore. I deadpanned. Of course it wouldn't work. Maybe another area...?
Still no luck.
"...Burn it!" I heard the man say, catching his breathe. Fire? That makes sense. I grabbed a rock off the ground and looked at it. It was rich in minerals and sturdy. Perfect. I stuck the blade against the sharpest edge of the rock as I few sparks hit the creature. It hissed. Oh it's working.
I left the post and shaved off some bark from the destroyed trees. "Thank you."
I made my way back, sitting on it as I arranged the bark slices on the ground next to it before I stuck the knife a couple more times, letting the spark land onto the wood. I blew lightly, hoping it'll ignite soon. Slowly engulfed itself with smoke and heat, the colour of the bark changing. Soon the small fire roared with life as I watch the creature tremble in fear. I rolled the creature over to the flame. It howled in pain. I just realized now it was trying to say something. "...thirsty..."
Thirsty...? I shrugged it off. I'll getting more information later, so it'll be fine for now. It's skin darken and the smell was atrocious. I pinched my nose and returned my katana back to normal. I waved around, trying to direct the smell elsewhere with no success. Disgusting. It started to melt as I got away from it.
I narrowed my eyes. I could see a faint outline of something appearing over it. It was a translucent silhouette of a man in a guards uniform that you saw in your memories. I froze as I looked toward it's face. Kin...? I shook my head a few times, wiping my eyes as well before blinking over and over and over again to verify.
It was. The brunette stood in the fog and started to talk. Although it didn't make any noise, I could read what he tried to convoy to me. I'm glad you're doing well, [Name]-chan!
