As I was walking with Izuku so that he could do his next match and I could watch, we ran into none other than the second best hero- Endeavor (ew i hate him so much why do i gotta write about him smh). "You, boy." I looked at the pro hero as he rudely addressed my friend. 'Is this bitch for real? Damn, and here I thought burning trash was illegal.' (oh he gonna need some ice for that burn-- oh wait he can't get any cos his family hates him fucking sCRUB GO DIE I HATE HIM SO MUCH AAAA-)

"Your quirk, it can rival All Might's, can it not?" At this point I watched Izuku slowly start to walk away, and I decided to do the same. "And you, girl." 'Uh oh can he read minds?! Fuck.' "Uh.. can I help you?" "For some reason, my son believes that you're strong. I hope he's right." Uh okay then. Wait... 'I hope'? He turned back to Izuku. "You best not give my son a disgraceful match, understand?" Yikes. Rude much?

At that point, I couldn't help but butting in. Hey, I may be stupid, but I'm not an idiot (the amount of meme references I out in here is awful ik). "Midoriya isn't All Might, and Todoroki isn't you, y'know?" He narrowed his eyes at me and Izuku tugged me away. We walked back down the hallway, away from the flaming asshole-- ahem, pro hero behind us.

"You shouldn't say things like that, but thanks.." He gave me a smile, and I had the urge to uwu but I refrained, instead returning the smile. "Anytime, after all it's the truth. Now go on, go kick ass in that round!" "Thanks, Y/n. I'm kind of nervous still, but-" I cut him off by pulling him into a hug. "You got nothing to be worried about, okay? I believe in you, and you're strong. You can do this, okay Izu?" I pulled away from the hug and the poor boy was bright red. Oops my bad--

"T-thanks, Y/n! I'll do my b-best!" Man he's too cute! "Great! I'll be watching, good luck." I ruffled his hair and went back to the stands to watch the battle ensue. Todoroki (I accidentally typed todoreo and honestly I wanna call him that hELP-) was strong, but so is Midoriya. Poor cinnamon roll, he's very easily flustered huh? He's like that with everyone though (you dense ass motheRFUC-- ahem, love ya really) so it'll be fine.

I settled into my seat, and waited for the countdown to be over. This is gonna be pretty evenly matched, I'm keen to see who wins. Since I got through last round, I'll have to fight someone again this round. But I'll worry about that later, the match is about to start!

The match started, and Todoroki shot a wave of ice towards Izuku, who used his quirk to create a wave of wind and shatter them. It also blew Todoroki back but he made a wall of ice behind him to crash into instead. Smart move. This is pretty even, hm? He used ice again, but once again Izuku destroyed it.

Todoroki created ice on the ground and used some to get up in the air with, and at the same time trapped Izuku. Ah, that's not good. He began relentlessly attacking the defenceless Izuku, but said greenette created a wind attack and freed himself, knocking Todoroki backwards.

I could almost see the concentration, as Todoroki analysed Izuku. I could see that Izuku had a broken hand, and that Todoroki (typed Todoreo again honestly imma start calling him this i stg ): he's noT AN OREO--) would definitely use this to his advantage. "C'mon Izuku.." i muttered under my breath. He launched a large wave of ice, but Izuku managed to break it again. The shock was rather visible on Todor(eo)oki's face, and I can't say I blame him. It's kinda surprising, seeing how strong he is. I'm so proud kdjwicdnswof--

"Why are you only using half of your power to reach the top? You can't even injure me with that power!! Fight man to man!" Izuku yelled at the peppermint. Sister snapped™ oo now now that's tea sis! I have no idea what Todoroki thought of that, but he was enraged. He charged towards Izuku, definitely with ill intent, going to attack him. However, something was off. 'Quirk drawback maybe? His movements aren't quite as refined-- oh he got hit! Y i k e s!' I thought, watching him take a punch to the stomach. Ouch.

It knocked him to the ground, but he quickly got back up. Todoroki launched another wave of ice, but it wasn't as strong as previous ones. Izuku easily destroyed it with another blast of wind, and simultaneously knocked Todoroki to the ground. I heard Todoroki ask Izuku why he was going so far, to which he replied that he wants to live up to his mentor's expectations and wants to become an awesome hero who can answer people with a smile. Aw such a precious reason, what a cinnamon roll™. 

Todoroki was hit by Izuku again who stated that while he may never understand Shoto's circumstances and resolution, he thinks that becoming number one without using his full strength and doing it to disown someone is a joke. To that, Todoroki simply said "Shut it." Damn they are both skinny legends, huh? 

'He said to disown someone.. It's clear that Todoroki gets his fire from his dad, so his ice must be  from his mum. But to disown his dad? Why? Maybe his dad did something, or maybe... It's a stretch, but what if his parents were in a quirk marriage, or something similar, so Todoroki disagrees with it? Hm... I don't know, but he definitely doesn't like his dad, evidently. By only using his ice side.... How strange.' (wOw YoU'rE sO sMaRt Y/n ThAt'S aMaZiNg!!11!1!! yea you should be a detective or something you smartass. jk i love you aha)

I cleared my thoughts, sounding like a conspiracy theorist, and focused on the battle. I could see that the frostbite of his quirk overuse was really starting to affect Todoroki, and he was faltering. It kinda makes me sad, he seems so conflicted. I know he's pretty cold as a person, he told me directly that we weren't friends, but with him looking so torn it's not a nice sight. Poor boy, mental note to get closer to him after this. Todoroki pulled himself up from the ground, and that's when I heard Izuku shout those words out to him.

 "YOUR POWER IS YOURS! NOT ANYONE ELSE'S, IT BELONGS TO YOU AND ONLY YOU!"

Something inside the dual boy seemed to unhinge. There was an audible gasp from my mouth as his entire left side was set alight, and I could make out Todoroki saying that he wanted to be a hero too. Then he smiled, not an icy grimace, not a cold smirk, but a passionate and fearsome smile. It was a sight to behold indeed. I grinned to myself, seeing how much just words could move Todoroki. Hopefully I could see him properly smile one day.

I could see from my seat a wicked grin plastered on Endeavor's face, and honestly I felt a little pity for Todoroki, his dad definitely didn't seem like a good person. The two boys then powered up for one final, game changing attack. This would determine the winner for sure. Izuku used his quirk to make a huge wind power, and Todoroki used his to create a wind blast. The pro hero Cementoss created a huge wall to stop them, fearing that it would go terribly wrong, but the force of the two wind attacks broke through. I fell out of my seat from the force of the two attacks but quickly scrambled back up to see the winner. 

❁ Todoroki's POV (weren't expecting that were ya) ❁

I glanced around after the dust settled, and realised that Midoriya was out of bounds. Apparently he's pretty convincing after all. I looked up at the stands, wondering if Y/n was watching. I took note of how she fell off her chair at the force of the wind, and internally smiled when I watched her scramble back up. She beamed at me and gave me a thumbs up, and I glanced away. I could feel my face start to heat up again. Did she poison me? Hoe's mad... why do I feel so warm when I look at her?

But when I saw her looking concernedly at Midoriya, who had succumbed to his injuries, laying flat on the ground, I couldn't help but feel a small wave of jealousy. It's a weird feeling, one that I've felt before, but not like this. Nevermind, I had bed better things to think about. Such as winning the rest of this festival.

Oooh things are getting spicy huh? yea i added Todoreo's POV at the end cos i think it's fun. :) so ye next chapter will be your fight, wonder who you're up against? also do y'all like the new cover and title? Yarrow is one of my favourite flowers, and I prefer lighter, pastel covers, so i'm glad i changed it. my ocd would be quaking if i had it. k don't die on me lads see ya. ❤︎
