Reeeeeeee it has been two weeks and I have been training non stop, thanks to my energetic mother. She means well as always, but I hate doing much work at all, and quite frankly I've been pretty tired. Not to mention, today is the day of the sports festival, and all the other classes hate us. 

I went to leave the classroom, with Momo, only to be blocked by a bunch of students - among them I recognised Hitoshi, and hol up is that the kazoo kid? Okay why is everyone here?

"Yo, Hitoshi, what are you and your fam doing here?" I asked intelligently. He ignored me and addressed pretty much the whole class but me. I thought he was just being rude but then he went and declared war on the entire class. Oh he was actually being considerate huh. How sweet, he doesn't want a war with me. Love you too babe. 

Some guy ,looking like a b-tech Kirishima with long ass eyelashes, butted in saying he wanted to see the class that fought a bunch of villains, but apparently we were all just condescending brats. Rude. Suppose Bakugo's given us somewhat of a reputation. I sighed and stepped forwards, brushing past Hitoshi as I did. "You're such a drama queen, for someone who barely shows interest in anything." i muttered, stifling my giggles. I'm gonna get a very strong worded call later but this is worth it. "Yeah well at least we're good people." He muttered back, and I suppressed a giggle. 

Yeah, it was pretty fun. And yes I did receive a call from Hitoshi later that night but i regret nothing. However, I am regretting a lot now because it's the bloody sports festival and I want to die.

"Y/n? Are you alright, you look ill." Mina helpfully commented. "Yep, I'm fine! Just great, never better, wonderful, dandy, okie dokie--" "Okay you're nervous, I get it. You'll do fine, just you see." I smiled. "Ah, you're such a great girlfriend, thanks. Seriously though, can I leave or what? pLEASEDON'TSTABMEIWASKIDDING!" The pinkette giggled and walked off. 

That was when Todoroki approached Izuku. Damn is he finally gonna ask him out? Nope. "In terms of strength, I think it's fair to say that I'm stronger than you." Oh, that was unexpected. Harsh. "But you seem to have the number one hero on your side. I will beat you, so you know." I sat there, feeling like i had to say something. "Hey, Todoroki, that was kinda bold. I'm sure Izuku will give it all he's got, and try to beat you too." I said from my seat. Izuku nodded. "Yeah, that's right! I'll beat you too!" He says confidently.

Todoroki glanced at me, and for a split second I saw something flash in his eyes, but then he turned around to leave. Excuse me the fuck? I didn't have any time to mull it over though, as that was when we were to go into the stadium. Wish me luck.

Firstly, there was a pledge from the top representative, who turned out to be Bakugo, and long story short he declared that he would win. Oh he did not just-- well, if everyone didn't hate us before, they certainly do now. 

Well, i barely paid attention because of nerves, but i gathered that the first part would be an obstacle race. Oh yay, an obstacle race, speed will help me here. Let me tell you, I pounded so much water a few minutes ago I'm fairly certain I'm gonna be okay.

We lined up at the start of the line, and quickly jumped out of the way when a wave of ice froze most people in place. 'Dramatic much.' I thought, and then figured out a plan. Todoroki left a perfectly usable ice path behind, so I manipulated water to the soles of my feet for extra sliding and had at it, skidding gracefully in the path he left behind. It was a bit wobbly but man was it fun! "It's free real estate, bitch!" (thank you MoMeMiMu for the idea lmao)

"What's this? Todoroki of 1-A takes the lead by freezing the other contestants, and races on ahead, but fellow 1-A student L/n uses his ice as a free means of transport!" At the announcement, the icy boy turned briefly to see me skating along. I waved at him and he turned back around, seemingly a little surprised. There was a few others also following, and I was glad that my classmates had been able to keep up.

I gasped as several large robots appeared, blocking the path. I hopped off the free slip n' slide and knew that I would have to be fast here. A lot of people were quite shocked but I managed to regain my composure, dissipating my water into the atmosphere around me. I can use it later that way. I watched as Todoroki froze a massive robot in place, and I heard him say something about wanting a tougher opponent. 'Show off.' 


I wasted no time and as fast as i could sprinted under the robot, knowing that it was unstable and would fall. As predicted, I heard it crash behind me, blocking off some of the others. Well it is every man for himself, after all, I can't help them now.

I saw Todoroki pause and look at me again. "Surprised? You're not the only one with talent here, peppermint." I said cheerfully, and began running. He was still ahead of me, but that didn't matter. Then I saw Bakugo fly out from behind the robot and overtake me. Doesn't matter, I don't want to be first anyway. I'm in third place, which is good enough for me.

After a bit of running and water powered sliding, I reached the canyon thing. Holy mother of god that goes down far, doesn't it? I looked at the tightropes and smiled. Can I use hydraulic water pressure to just nyoom across? We'll see. I stepped backwards a bit, and that was when I saw a pink haired girl advertising the support items she had. 'Okay sis this a race not an ad but you do you honey.' 

I ignored the pink haired girl and used a bunch of water to catapult myself across, stepping on the tightropes as i did. I am fully aware of how terrible this idea is, but surprisingly it worked out. All I have to do now is worry about the minefield, oh no.

aight yea i cut it off before the minefields. I also don't understand water very well so imma research it so i can write Y/n's quirk better. K thanks bye. ❤︎
