With trembling fingers, Y/n hovered her fingertips above the man. "...do I have to do this...?" She whispered, her finger inching closer and closer. "What was that Y/n? You know, he-" Himiko never got to finish that sentence, as there was a loud crash and smoke seeped into the room. That was when the entire place began crumbling around them, and Y/n had barely any time to react as concrete began falling from the ceiling.

"....."

Dark... The world had gone dark... When Y/n tried to speak, she found that she couldn't. Because everything was dark. 'Am I finally dying? Then why can I hear...?' She trailed off, hearing explosions getting louder. And then her eyes fluttered open, and it was dark no more.

She was staring up into the sky, the entire building having been blown apart. That wasn't all though, her leg ached with whatever had fallen on it, and then Y/n heard a familiar voice. "Y/n, dammit! Y/n!" Looking to her side, she saw one spiky hedgehog, a familiar ash-blond. She mustered a smile.

"Hey, Katsuki." "You moron! Y/n...!" He gripped her by the shoulders, but his grip loosened and he helped her stand up. "What even happened?" "Rescue mission. I'll explain later, but we need to fucking go!" He pulled her up by the arm, but Y/n wasn't moving properly. Firstly, that serum slowed her movements, but she was also trying to come to terms with the fact that she had nearly just killed someone.

"Go without me..." She murmured, not moving from her spot. "Y/n, what-" "I said go without me! They wanted me to kill a man so my parents could go free, and I was about to when the ceiling caved in...! I'm no higher than the villains... I will only drag you down." She pulled her arm from his grip, taking a step back.

"Y/n." Katsuki's voice was calm, but there was a small tremble to it, as though he was holding himself back from yelling. "Y/n." He repeated louder, and she turned to look at him. A sob was caught in her throat as she was pulled into a strong hug, and Katsuki patted her hair a little awkwardly.

"Godammit Y/n, now really isn't the time... Look, they are villains. And they're fucking scum- you're not. Now, are you gonna be the nice heroic Y/n I know who's always annoying people with her stupid jokes and dumb smile?" He looked down into her eyes, and Y/n couldn't help but crack a grin.

"Right... sorry, I'm pathetic." "Say one more bad thing about yourself and I'm going to punch you. Oh great, fucking villains..." He cursed, and readied his explosions. Y/n took a shaky breath, but remembered something Himiko said to her. '...quirk's to do with blood... You know what? I'll prove to you that I'm not a killer; I'm a hero.'

"Hey idiot, don't you need water for your quirk?" Y/n let a laugh fall from her lips, filled with a new vigor. "Just watch and see, hedgehog." Sure, she was still upset. But her parents were safe now, and she could prove that she was a hero. She wasn't pathetic, she was in class 1-A for crying out loud! Y/n was a strong girl, and now her quirk was stronger than ever.

They fought their way over the rubble, Y/n's movements fast as ever. Instead of water, she manipulated her opponents' blood. But not in an evil way, just so that they could drop weapons, numbed limbs etc... Katsuki then used his explosions to brute force them back. After a moment, Y/n realised something.

All Might was fighting a villain that she'd never seen before, a man that looked ever so slightly like a burnt jacket potato, and he was clearly above all the rest. Katsuki used an explosion to fly over top of the field, and Y/n could see the gears in his brain turning at the sight of them throwing each other around.
