"Numerous weeks have passed, and within that time slot, a bit has happened. First of all, Doc healed from his wounds fairly well and ended up going back to his house. What a relief, I don't think I could stand him as a roommate. I mean, he's fun to hang around but I just prefer living alone and it makes my job as a vigilante much harder.

A string of murders soon followed, most being prostitutes of course, but a few guys here or there who were simply wrong place at the wrong time. I haven't been able to run into killer yet, always manages to slip away unseen. From what I heard, he's not even that good at fighting, he just uses the darkness and element of surprise to his advantage.

Scar and Cub were managing a store when a stick of dynamite was thrown through the window and went off. Unfortunately, Cub was right next to the thing when it exploded. It" From here, the ink was a bit messy with obvious tear marks stained into the yellow page. A few words here and there were crossed out but it continued, "It killed him. Scar was luckily not as close to the thing, but the explosion still through him back into the brick wall. He suffered serious head injuries, but when authorities came, they had to forcefully strip him off of Cub's body. He screamed and cry, falling into denial as the other hermits tried to console him.

His head injuries were treated, but it was then that he found out an angry mob set flames to his home. It burned to the ground, and his cat Jellie was killed due to it. Everyone associated with it was caught and hanged for their crimes and involvement.

Scar was still healing from his wounds and couldn't think correctly, so I guess I do get a new roommate in the end. He's mostly been staying in the guest room I set up for him, Maui has been laying by side, licking him a lot.

On the other hand, since he's been staying in his room for the most part, I've been able to freely go in and out in my vigilante suit without question.

The murders have been growing more intense and gruesome by the days. I think the killer's playing a game with me, or trying to poke at me, see what I do.

With that being said, things have been a lot harder on all the hermits, so this is Grian signing out."

The dirty blonde sighed softly, looking at the journal silently before closing it. He hopped off of his bed and slid a carpet away. There was a loose board, so he pulled it up revealing a hidden compartment. The man dropped his journal in there, before putting the loose board back into place. He made sure to cover it up with the rug again as he glanced around for a moment silently.

Grian walked over to his leather bag, pulling out the smooth black cavalier themed mask. The material was hard, yet didn't bother him much when settling on his face. He slowly put it on, before grabbing his red coat which was laying on his bed. He put it on, sliding his arms through the sleeves.

The vigilante turned to the window, opening it up as he let a small smile appear on his face. Staring up at the night sky...

Settling down on the stone rooftop, the vigilante let out a soft sigh. He looked up to the night sky, his eyes twinkling behind the mask as he stared at the beautiful night. The thing that protected him and gave him cover when he needed it the most. Many feared the night for what it was, but not Grian. Not the vigilante, it meant so much to him.

He snapped out of his trance when he heard footsteps, the dirty blonde quickly hopping up and spinning around.

A figure shadowed by the darkness, but the vigilante could make out some of his appearance; a helmet in similar style to Xisuma, however this man wore red clad armor instead of green. Some white hair could be seen from under his helmet, as the man had something in his hands- It was hard to make out what exactly it was, being mostly covered by the stranger's hand and hidden by the shadows.

"X—-? No no no, you're not X.... Who are you?" The dirty blonde glared at the stranger who approached him, as he shifted into a defensive pose.

"Oh, so you know Xisuma? What a pleasure, though it's a surprise he's never mentioned his own brother to his friends." The man tightened his grip, circling the vigilante like a shark circling its prey.

"Oh, so you must be EX- He must have mentioned you at least once before, although not much besides that." Grian glared at the albino through his mask, not taking a single second to lower his guard.

"Well, let's just get straight to the point; they hired me to catch you, so here I am." Whatever item he was holding, it tightened in his grip.

"They?" Grian tilted his head, thoughts running through his mind.

EX suddenly leapt forward, taking the man's distracted state to his advantage. He grabbed the vigilante by his arm and twisted it to an angle that it ached so much. Grian yelped, being caught off guard as he recoiled in pain.

The man in red armor tilted his head, staring at him. "What pretty scars you've got there." He chuckled softly, pointing to the remainders of the burns he had.

The vigilante groaned and tried to kick him away, however EX pulled the item he carried out and brought it to his neck as he twisted his target's arm further to prevent him from doing anything. This proved to work, as he screamed in pain due to his arm. Although, he took a moment to see the item EX was now bringing to his neck.

Brass casing, a pointed needle at the end, a rusty handle. It was a syringe, as Grian's eyes widened in realization. The man wasted no time, as he jabbed it into the side of his neck. The needle poked through his skin, as X's twin pushed the handle in. The chemicals immediately going into his system, he tried to do something but the man was simply much stronger than him.

He dropped the empty syringe, as he proceeded to wrap his arm tightly around the man's neck. Holding the vigilante in a chokehold, he made sure they wouldn't escape as he waited for the chemicals to take effect.

"Say nighty-night little vigilante."
