Once she got to her apartment, she went straight to take a shower. The warm water on her face felt good, like it was cleaning all the worries that weighed her down, most of them about Shinsuke, if it weren't all. What does he means with destroying the world? Why was he driving them away?

Thinking about those question in her mind, she finished showering, putting on her usual clothes, a black dress tied with a (F/c) obi with yellow decorations, and on it, a matching yukata, with white petals on the sleeves. After finishin dressing, she combed his hair, leaving it loose on her shoulders, taking it on one side with a white flower pin. Finally, she put on her black knee length stockings with her sandals, tying the sword to the side of his hip, covered by the yukata, and left the apartment.

They met for lunch at a store called "Ikumatsu's ramen store", in the Kabukicho district. With all the fuss in the morning and the time she took to get ready, she came just at lunchtime. (Y/n) walked through the door of the store, looking at the main bar, where there was a black-haired man in a police uniform smoking quietly, who directed his gaze towards the steps that approached the bar.

-(Y/n), just in time- said the man with V haircut, looking at her- Let's sit at the end table, come on- he continued, standing up, taking her wrist to guide her to the table.

-Toshirou, I'm so happy to see you- said (Y/n), sitting in front of him- Thanks for giving me some of your time.

-It's you, the least I could do is have lunch with you at least once a week- answered the police man, still smoking.

-Thanks, Toshi-nii~-replied the girl happily, smiling at him.

-¡Don't call me like that (Y/n)! For being a police officer I have many enemies who would give anything to roll my head, and those same men could harm you knowing that we are close, especially if you call me brother- He rebuked her in a protective tone.

-But the place is empty- said the (H/c) haired girl, pouting.

-Still, you shouldn't call me like that in public- Hijikata said, letting out the smoke.

Before she could continue protesting, Ikumatsu approached them to take the order, two bowls of ramen, one of them with mayonnaise in the top.

He had always cared for her when she was still living with her family. Many of the children emptied her because they were afraid of her family, but not him. He always played with her when they were in town, even when he moved to his father's house, and when the other kids teased her, he scared them away.

He had taught her how to defend herself a little, and from what she remembers, she had known him from his earliest age. They had practically grown up together in their early childhood, and they would have stayed together if not for the incident at his home, when he ran away.

Although she spent whole days searching him, even in the woods, she couldn't find him. Even so, she was grateful, since thanks to the search, she had escaped the attack of the Tendoshu. She was outside, looking for her little friend, when they attacked her family, making them disappear from the map, or so she thought, since when she returned home she only found blood, without a trace of them.

Completely alone and scared, she wandered the roads, leaving the town, until she fell somewhere she didn't recognize, where sensei had picked her up.

Immersed in her memories, she didn't notice when the dishes arrived at the table, so Hijikata had to snap her fingers to wake her up.

-What were you thinking (Y/n)?- asked the male, putting more mayonnaise on his plate.
