(Y/n) had run faster than in her entire life at the time she invented an excuse to get away from Gintoki, sprinting down the street, without a specific address. When she had gotten far enough away from the samurai, the girl stopped, breathless, finding herself in front of a store. Sure enough, she bought strawberry milk, but didn't return to the Yorozuya.
Slowly, (Y/n) returned to her clinic, still heart pounding. The (H/c) haired girl could still feel the smooth lips of the silver-haired samurai on hers, along with the warmth that emanated. Blushing, she decided to climb what was her home now, trying to distract her mind.
When she was on the second floor, the girl went to the kitchen to put down the strawberry milk, then sat down heavily in the chair, looking at the box of things she had not yet ordered. It was a good excuse to order, since if by chance Gin or the children came looking for her, she would be busy with her things.
Thus, (Y/n) got up from her seat to kneel next to the forgotten box to start taking out objects, seeing a paper point protruding from the side. She tugged on it, revealing the photograph the old woman had given her when she decided to kick her out of her old home.
In the photograph, a young Shinsuke appeared, in his classic dress as captain of the Kiheitai. Seeing the image, (Y/n) felt guilty for having kissed Gintoki (even if it had been an accident). She felt as if the green eyes in the photograph looked at her with sadness and pain.
The photograph was of a younger Takasugi, in wartime. The same times where he decided to confess his love to the young (Y/n), stealing his first kiss.
The (E/c) eyed woman sat cross-legged, remembering the moment with her eyes closed and the photograph in her hands.
It was another night when the four Joui leaders were out on a spree in the red light district, again without taking her.
They always refused to invite (Y/n) to their outings to the red light district, excusing themselves that she was a girl, a lady, and that it wasn't appropriate to take her to those places. At that, she always pouted, annoyed, and let them go while ignoring them, sitting on one of the roofs of the old base building.
The same thing had happened today, and for hours the boys had been clearing themselves in the red light district.
(Y/n) wondered what they were going to do there, besides playing with the courtesans and drinking. ¿Did any of them get beyond just "playing" with women? She didn't know, and she didn't want to think about it, either.
The idea that her childhood friends would go further with these women made her feel strange, perhaps even jealous.
At the bottom of his heart, there was only one of them that worried her, wishing he hadn't gotten beyond, just drinking with the women. (Y/n) knew it was a selfish thought right now where she couldn't make her feelings known, but the girl really wished that this man wasn't looked at by women.
The (H/c) haired girl also knew it was impossible. Somehow he had a weird charming effect on women.
Sighing, she sat up on the ceiling, watching a staggering figure approach the main threshold of the stairs. (Y/n) quickly descended from the place, approaching the threshold to help the staggering figure. Surely it would be Gin or Tatsuma, again drunk.
Upon reaching the threshold of the stairs, she couldn't believe what her (E/c) eyes were seeing: Takasugi Shinsuke, the honorable captain of the Kiheitai, was drunk. The smell of alcohol came from the man, who stopped when he saw her. Immediately she reached out to him to help him into the base, feeling how he was resisting the help.
