I was now sobbing, I went back to my room. Regardless of Ellie being there, I had no other place to go, I let out a choked sob as I sat down beside the wall, I didn't even care if Ellie was here or not.

But she was, she walked over to me and kneeled down "are you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." I wiped away the tears

"Do you want to talk about it? I know you despise me but I don't want to just sit here and watch you cry." She says

"It's nothing, just, life."

"I feel you, life can suck but it can also be beautiful. If you cry over something more than once then maybe you should remove it from your life." She sits down in front of me "I know it's not my business but where is Jack? I thought he would've been, you know, comforting you."

"He's out at the bonfire." I say quietly "beer pong match."

"I can go get him if you want, or text him from your phone" she offers

"No, I don't want to see him." I mumble Ellie nods understanding without any more questions "do you need anything?" She asks

"A tissue, some food and some water..." I requested she got up and walked away moments later she returned with some snacks and water then set down a box of Kleenex.

"Here you go" she smiled softly at me I smiled back, she scratched the back of her neck "I'm sorry for being so rude to you by the way."

"It's okay, we have our differences" I assure her "I'm sorry too."

I got up off of the floor grabbing the stuff I sat down on the bed, she plopped down on hers and then turned the TV back on.

"I saw Talia, Emmy told me what happened between you two. I couldn't sit here and be another one of those girls, especially towards you."

"Yeah, hah, she and Jack have history. And I think it was never really that, he has private snap chats that I can't access." I sniff and blow my nose

"Shoot, I'm sorry..." Ellie sounded genuine, I can't completely trust her yet but it's nice to know she isn't a stone-cold bitch.

"I'm just glad you aren't so cold," I say

"Truth be told I was just hurt, Jack was a good friend and I caught feelings... It wasn't right for me to make a move and I apologize, you're pretty lucky to have him be in love with you."

"I question it sometimes..." I murmured "he always goes and does things that make me feel bad about myself and damages my trust."

"What has he done?" She asks "if you want to tell me, it's ok if you don't."

"He's always been the type to get mad easily and when we fought he brought up his ex." I cried thinking about it "and his friends tell me he loves me and he says it too but never actually shows it until I want to break up with him."

"He stayed loyal to you after your split. Even when some random girls tried hitting on him he said he wasn't interested"

"Yeah but he was somewhat interested in you," I argue

"He wasn't into me, I wanted him to be but the only reason we acted as if we were dating was to see if you'd go back to him. But it didn't work..." she sighs "he loves you, y/n."

The sound of the door handle jiggling and knocking was heard, Ellie jumped up and went to see who it was. She peered through the peephole "shit..."

"Who is it?" I say quietly she turns and mouths 'It's Jack'

"Don't let him in." I sternly say

"Babe?" He yells muffled through the door, he sounded drunk and tired but he kept knocking on the door "are you in there?"
