SIXTEEN

I had no idea how to confront him about the texts, I thought we were past this and my insecurities would be put to rest.

he's cute, very cute and I don't blame that a lot of females or even males want him but he's dating me. I love him a lot although this trust has been broken too many times. It's like you can forgive someone, but never forget how they made you feel.

the sound of the faucet was turned off as the shower stopped, minutes later Jack opened the bathroom door coming out drying his hair he laid down beside me kissing my cheek I tried to play it cool and not go off on him, he is my bus buddy after all - meaning I'm sitting beside him the WHOLE ride back.

"Hey.." I smiled as genuinely as I could but he can read me like book "what's wrong?" he grabbed my hand gently bringing closer to him "are you okay?"

"yeh. I'm fine" I lied nodding my head assuring him 

"if you say so, you can always talk to me about anything, that's what boyfriends are for" he smiles softly kissing my forehead. we just made up and fought once on this trip I don't want to ruin this again, I'll try and find out who it is without causing an argument.

"hey um can we go get something to eat?" I ask he turns and smiles at me "of course ba-"

"Great, let's go!" I hopped off of the bed running towards the door past him he followed behind as we went to the restaurant, jack tried to grab ahold of my hand but deliberately I avoided it he looked at me confused and hurt after taking a seat in one of the booths.

"hey," he reached for my phone in my hands setting it down on the table I gave him the death glare for interrupting my daily dose on TikTok. "yes Jack?" I sounded annoyed unintentionally.

"what's the matter?" he returned the same tone in his voice "why are you acting like this towards me? I haven't don't anything to deserve this treatment."

"I trusted you, ok." I paused "and that was a big mistake"

"Hello, can I get drinks for you? menu's?" a waitress walked up to our table

"yeah, ill just have water and she can get what she wants," he said with a fake smile

"perfect, I will return with menu's" she walked off

"What did I do now?" Jack asked me

"I don't know, ask the bitch in your text messages" I glared "calling you like you're some hotline bling"

"who?" his eyebrows furrowed in confusion

"I don't know the contact is unknown."

"okay?"

"But obviously you know who it is since you are texting them flirty messages." I crossed my arms leaning back.

Jack's face sank "you went through my phone? when? and why."

"It was ringing and the unknown caller got me curious and a little worried" I explain "who is this anonymous person? do I get to meet them?"

Jack ran a hand through his hair "no, it was just an old friend no need to get so worked up about it" 

"Jack, I'm your girlfriend I should at least know their name if even what the gender of your friend is, why didn't you ever mention it before?" I wondered waiting for a response

"because you already know them" he mumbled lowly

"what? who"

"Emmy, she and I are friends only before you freak out..."

I got up before he could even finish and walked away from him, leaving the place passing our waitress jack ran after me calling out to me but I couldn't stand being around him anymore, he only cares about himself at the end of the day and it really has shown.

"y/n, look I'm sorry!"

turning to face him he stopped inches away from me "are you kidding jack? after what we did in the room this past few weekend days?"

"Okay, let me-"

"no. jack you can hurt my feelings and leave me but you cannot lie. don't you dare do that again, and I know physical pleasures don't matter to you but they are everything to me."

"you think I seriously just sleep with whoever? are you kidding me right now, you were my official first time."

"huh? I thought Talia was."

"I only said that because Noah and Finn were teasing me for being a virgin, I may have lied about a lot of things to you but I have never lied about being with another girl while I've been with you."

"Look, you're my first boyfriend ever and this whole relationship status is a lot harder to maintain than the movie and tv shows display it to be, I wasn't expecting a Romeo and Juliet scenario, however, it would be nice to have trust built," I say

"I know, and trust me when I say the only person I want a life with is you."

"so cliche Jack" I kiss his cheek "I hate fighting with you, I also have mega trust issues and jumping to conclusions which makes it a lot harder"

"I can and will handle it all because I love you, like so much"

"I really love you too" I smile "just, stop texting girls weird messages."

"I haven't talked to Emmy over text in a few months, Noah and Finn sometimes take my phone went we're intoxicated and start messaging or prank calling my contacts."

"well, why didn't you say that earlier..."

"Yeah, you're right sorry" he kissed my head
