Chapter 05

"Sorry, baby. Hindi ko naman alam na kasama mo pala si green-eyed man."

Umirap ako kay Sheen at niligpit ang mga kalat ko sa coffee table ni Kaye.

It's Sunday, so it's girl's day. We are currently here in Kaye's house and we will do whatever we want because it's our day.

Nilipat ko ang mga papel ko sa dining table at doon na pinagpatuloy ang ginagawa. We have a long quiz tomorrow so I studied hard today. I want to remain in the Dean List so my Mom and Dad will be proud.

Nang marinig ko ang iilang bulto ni Sheen na papalapit sa akin ay agad kong tinakpan ang tenga ko ng earphones kahit walang tugtog.

"Baby-- Ay... Nag-study tapos nage-earphones. Mamaya ko na nga suyuin."rinig kong aniya at umalis na. I sighed heavily and continued reading my book.

I'm pissed of Sheen's wrong timing call yesterday. Ang bokilya ko, wala ng buhay! Kahapon ko pa siya hindi pinapansin dahil nga sa ginawa niya but I can't stay pissed at her. She's my cousin and her call was just wrong timing.

Pagkatapos ko kasing pinatayan si Sheen ng tawag ay nagyaya na akong umuwi. Arc just agreed. Pagkatapos noon ay pumunta na din ako sa bar kung saan nandoon sila Kaye.

It's 11:56 am when I'm done reading my book. Niligpit ko ang gamit ko at nilagay sa loob ng bag ko.

Kaye served my favorite dish, sinigang baboy, while Jean arranged the plates for our lunch. Pumwesto na ako sa upuan ko at sumunod naman si Sheen. Sheen gave me a puppy eyes that made me want to laugh. I bit my lips and just stared at the white plate in front of me.

Kinalabit ako ni Sheen at binigyan na naman ng puppy eyes. I can't help but to laugh hard at her face. And that made the atmosphere light.

We ate our lunch with some laughters. After that, Hale and I represented to wash the plates and they all agreed.

Nang matapos kaming maghugas ng pinggan ay dumiretso na kami sa sala kung saan kasalukuyang nanonood sila Kaye ng Joker.

I refused to watch the movie because it made my heart hurt. I'm a strong girl on the outside but weak girl on the inside type. I'm a soft hearted person but I need to be strong for me to protect myself. Other people judge you if you are weak and still judge you if you are strong. But you need to accept their judgements and assumptions of you and let them realize what they are doing.

Nang makita kong online si Arc ay agad ko siyang minessage. They watched some action movies after while I was busy typing and having a conversation with Arc on Twitter.

"Thank you."I said and kissed them on the cheeks. Kaye just nodded and bid their goodbyes before they drove all the way to their own condos.

Pumasok ako sa dorm at bumungad agad sa akin ang malinis na paligid. Ngumisi ako kay Kia at Kariel nang makitang pawis na pawis sila habang nasa sofa, nakatihaya.

"Hoy, ingrata! Nilinis na namin ang dorm, pati ang sulok ng kwarto mo, bwesit ka! Ikaw magsaing, maghugas at magluto ngayong gabi kabayaran sa ginawa namin sa kwarto mo."ani Kia at pinaypayan ang sarili. Tumawa ako at umirap nalang bago pumunta sa kwarto.

My room was clean before but got cleaner now. They really cleaned my room.

Dumiretso ako sa banyo at naghalf-bath. Pagkatapos no'n ay nagbihis na ako at tumihaya na sa kama. Ilang minuto pa akong nakatitig sa kisame bago ako hinila ng antok.

The next day was a bit stressful because of the quizzes. Panay review ako sa libro at panay take note kung ano ang kailangang i-memorize. And it all turned out to be... successful.

Masaya kong kinuha ang papel ko nang inilahad ng presidente namin sa akin iyon. My eyes widened when I saw the word 'perfect' above my name. I almost screamed but good thing I've relaxed because of Kariel and Kia.

"Frida Louise Valderama."the president called Fridamn's name. Ngumisi ako at bumaling sa kaniya.

She's nervous. Tumawa ako sa loob loob pero agad kong kinagat ang labi ko para mapigilan ang tawa. Kariel nudge my elbow by hers and smirked.

Kariel and Kia don't also like Fridamn because of her attitude. Well, tanga na siguro kung hindi nila nakita ang totoo niyang personality. Ang alam ko, nakipagkaibigan lang ang mga alipores niya dahil mayaman sila. I feel sorry for her.

Nang tinanggap na niya ang papel ay agad niyang hinanap ang score sa itaas ng papel niya. Parang binagsakan ng langit at impyerno ang mukha niya kaya natawa ako ng bahagya. Kia and Kariel, too. And some of my classmates who hated her, as well.

Lumuluha siyang bumalik sa upuan niya at niyakap si Thea. Isa sa mga plastic niyang kaibigan, based on what I've observed.

Umuwi ako na may ngiti sa labi at dumiretso sa Italian restaurant kung saan kami kumain ni Arc noong nakaraan. The reason why I'm here is because of Arc. He said we'll meet here and eat something. Sabi din niya ay hindi niya muna ako kakainin ngayon dahil may gagawin pa daw siya. Sayang!

My eyes immediately surveyed the whole restaurant until green eyes met mine. Ngumiti ako at lumapit na sa kaniya. The waiter immediately went to us when Arc called one of them.

I told him what happened today and he also told me his. He passed the exam that made me a bit happy. We just stopped when our order already served.

I looked up and saw the pink skies above. Just like before, it was beautiful. Ngumiti ako nang parang may humaplos sa puso ko dahil lang sa isang magandang tanawin.

I sighed, "Do you know that I really love pink skies?"wala sa sariling tanong ko.

Arc stopped eating and looked up at the sky like what I did. He smiled and answered.

"It's obvious. You look obssessed with it. Honestly, I love pink, blue and orange skies."pagkukwento niya. Bumaling ako sa kaniya at nakita ko siyang nakangiti sa langit. My heart felt warmed when I saw him like that.

"I really want to be a Flight Attendant for me to experience flying above in the pink skies. Aside from that, I also wanted to travel around the world. What about you? What do you want to be?"ani ko, nakangiti. Bumaling siya sa akin at ngumiti ng maliit.

His green eyes made my heart jumped in a sudden happiness. Hindi ko nalang iyon pinansin at ngumiti nalang.

"I wanted to be a pilot but I also wanted to be a Flight Attendant. Kasi kung magpilot ako, I'll leave here and study at the other countries. Flight Attendant naman ay pwedeng dito lang at malaki din naman ang sahod. I just don't want to be away from my family."nakangiting aniya. I smiled and watched the beautiful skies above.

This is my first time watching the pink skies above with someone...

and it made me feel special.
