Chapter 45 ~What If I told You That I Love You~

Ecca returns to the Capsule Corp with Hearts in the evening. When they step in the house, Ecca feels a pair of eyes looking at them... no, more then one pair...

She turns around and sees Goku is looking at her and Hearts, giggling. Houaida and Hit are sitting together in the lounge, waving at her. And... Fu is sitting on the couch, watching TV. He looks a bit jealous that Hearts and her went out, so he pretends that he isn't looking at them and keep his eyes on the TV.

"Ecca, I'll be upstairs if you need me." Hearts smiles and walks away. Fu looks at Hearts and makes sure that he is gone. Then he quickly pulls Ecca to him.

"Wait Fu-?" Ecca doesn't have time to ask anything as Fu pulls her away. Fu brings her to the corridor where no one's there. He is a bit embarrassed but he doesn't let go of her hands he is holding tightly.

"Ecca... do you mind if we do another experiment... Oh no, it isn't harmful and it doesn't include fighting!" Fu rubs the back of his neck. " Actually it's called a date and uh... to be specific I wanna ask if you want to... go out for dinner together with me tonight?" He asks, Ecca can see him blush.

Ecca has no idea what he's planning. So she just accepted it. To be honest she likes Fu. He's adorable, crazy hot. He is an amazing scientist and has huge knowledge about science, also not to mention his brilliant sense of humor. But she isn't sure why he suddenly asks her out.

"Alright! I'll come pick you up at 8!" Fu smiles. Ecca nods and smiles back. Fu smiles and rubs her hair. Ecca chuckles.

~Time Skip~

Fu comes and picks Ecca up at her room very punctually. Fu takes her to a restaurant nearby. The restaurant isn't very fancy or stuff but it feels very perfect for Ecca. She loves it there.

They order food that they both love. They find that they share a lot of similar in what they like. Fu seems happy about that. They have a small chat before the food serves. Mainly about the things Fu is investigating at the moment and the device he made to block Kodaika's blood ability... they had a great time.

The food comes up and it is delicious. Ecca and Fu are very satisfied. They have a very enjoyable dinner night. When they finish the meal and the coffee (or the tea?) serves to them, there is a rather awkward silence between them. Ecca wants to ask him about what Zamasu told her but... she doesn't want to break the atmosphere.

"Um... Fu? I want to ask-" Ecca takes a few deep breathes and finally decides to ask him. But then a loud cheer cuts her off. They both turn their heads around and look at the direction where the sound of cheering comes from.

There's a pair of couple in the restaurant. The boyfriend just proposals to the his girlfriend and asks her if she'll marry him. The crowded cheers as the girl says "yes". Ecca smiles and claps too. Fu looks at the couple, then at Ecca.

"Just look at them... they're so sweet, don't you think?" Ecca holds her chin and smiles. "Well, in science that's a complex set of emotion, behaviors and beliefs associated with strong feelings of affection, protectiveness, warmth and respect for another person. Which is called... love." Fu fixes his glasses and explains. Ecca giggles and takes a sip of her coffee.

"Well, it's really lucky that they love each other and can live as a couple from now on." Ecca smiles and looks at them. She doesn't notice that Fu is looking at her and there's a complicated expression on Fu's face when he is looking at her.
