the library was my favorite place to be when i wanted to be alone, ever. do you remember all the times i ignored you? most of the time we were in the library. i didn't know how you knew where i sat every time but i guess you have your ways. i've told you before though, countless of times that you're annoying but what i didn't tell you is that i liked you annoying me.

"Don't tell me you're going to the library again?" Bree asked because she saw me packing up my things.

"You're gonna be with your fling here anyway, if I wanted to watch porn I would've done so already. I didn't have to wait for you to have sex with Kalix or Jace or whoever you're fucking now," I replied to which she slapped my arm. Bree probably doesn't notice but I know that she hooks up with someone even though I'm around, they think they're quiet but their moans get awfully loud. Sometimes they're bearable but I'm not in the mood for live porn.

"I want you out of the dorm anyway, I wanna try a new sex position and I kinda need your bed," she trailed of. My eyes widened and I slammed my hand on the table.

"You're not gonna have sex on my bed Bree, I mean I didn't even have sex on my bed yet. Are you gonna deprive me of having sex on my bed first?" I argued and she laughed. That's when I realised she was joking. "You're a bitch, Bree."

"But you love me. So, if you have sex first on your bed, can I use it after?" She asked seriously. I rolled my eyes. "Want me to call Ever for you? So that you guys can have sex?" She asked again and I lifted my middle finger.

"How'd you know about Ever?"

"Tani, everyone in our college knows you keep on rejecting him but did he really give you a diamond ring though, just so you can go out with him?" She curiously asked and I shook my head.

"Rumours nowadays are getting bigger and more unbelievable." I got my bag and school ID then proceeded walking towards the door, I looked at Bree and said, "Don't have sex on my bed Bree if you don't wanna drink toilet water." She rolled her eyes and gave me two thumbs up.

I went down to my favorite corner of the Library and looked for available seats. The Library's quite packed today and it would absolutely be such a miracle if I could find an available seat at my favorite place. Sadly, all the seats were taken maybe because that part of the Library was the best since the wifi connection was strong and they had individual desks, so that no one could bother you.

"I guess I'm not sitting here today," I muttered to myself. I was about to go back up but then I felt a hand hold mine. I looked up to see you, Ever. You had a big smile plastered on your face.

I immediately yanked my hand and then placed both my hands in the pockets of my hoodie. I hate it when you do that.

"When are you gonna warm up to me, Tani?" you whispered.

"When are you gonna stop annoying me, Ever?" I shot back and then you laughed softly.

"Will I be less annoying if I tell you that I saved you a seat? I saved you, your seat. The desk you usually use," you asked and I bit my lip trying to hold back a smile. I was touched, Ever. Your sweet gestures sometimes throw me off, how can you be so sweet to someone you didn't even know that well?

"It depends but thanks," I said and you smiled, again. You really liked smiling, don't you Ever? There's not a day I didn't see you smile, which scarred me. How can you be so happy all the time?

I sat on the chair and you sat next to mine. I looked at your desk to see you studying Anatomy, it must have been hard since you got Doctor Ang as your head teacher. I heard he was a terror teacher but you were naturally smart anyway, you didn't even need to study. I got my phone and my earphones, I immediately listened to my Lo-fi music. I took the pillow out of my bag and then I heard you chuckle. I looked up to see you looking at me with an amused expression.

"Is Bree with Kalix, again?" you asked and I gestured that I didn't know. I placed my head on my pillow and closed my eyes. I felt myself getting sleepier every minute that passed and when I was about to completely fall asleep, you tapped my shoulder. Multiple times.

"What do you need Ever?" I say as I glared at you.

"Do you need notes for your Chemistry class? I heard you got Sir Adams, he was my teacher last year. I could lend them to you," I shook my head and went back to trying to fall asleep. But then you tapped again.

"Do you want to have pineapple slices? I happen to have extra," you asked.

"You're annoying and we're in the Library Ever. No unnecessary talking and eating is strictly prohibited, don't you know the rules?" I say and then went back to trying to fall asleep, again. But guess what, Ever. I guess you liked annoying me, because you didn't stop tapping my shoulder. I kinda just wanna watch Bree's live porn, that's how annoying you are.

"What?" I whispered angrily. You laughed, again and showed me a note. Do you want to have dinner with me after you sleep?

"No," I plainly said and then you nodded your head. That's what I like about you, Ever. When I said no you would always respect my decision and back off. Most guys think I'm playing hard to get but somehow you knew ever since day one that when I said no, I always meant it. There was no underlying meaning that I wanted to be pursued more, it was just plainly a rejection.

I went back to try and sleep, hoping that you would finally let me be and you did.
