The next morning when I get ready and go downstairs, I see Max waiting for me. He is already settings breakfast. "Come on, it's already noon," I smile at him not calling me. That would be awful. "Didn't you sleep alright?" He says patting on the chair beside him. "Why do you say that? Of course I asleep fine," I reply annoyed a little by him. "You have bags under your eyes," he replies casually. "Yea you are right," I say after a long pause. There's nothing to hide anyway. "I could sleep because I didn't find anything," I decide not to tell him what I find on the internet. There are a lot of fake sites in there. "Anyhow, I was thinking maybe we could go to Sara's place to find something. Anything at this point. I mean I want to do that, and it would be a great pleasure if you come with me as a company," I tell him. Honestly, I don't know why I ask him to come with me. He was quiet for a very long time. "Ju..." I was about to tell him to forget about it, but he cut me with "It would be a great pleasure for me too,"

"Ok, maybe I shouldn't have come," Max tells me for a thousand times. "Why did you accept to come?" I asked him. "Hey, now, don't be like that," He says. "How about you stop talking. Just get to the car," I order. I didn't need to tell him to come with me. I should have just come here myself. "Yes, Miss. Well, he says obviously pissed off. "Don't talk to me like that," I say snapping him out. "I'm sorry ok. I just really need to go inside. I will tell you everything ok? I promise," I tell him gently this time. "And don't call me by my last name," I say before I get myself inside the place.

Sara lived on the second floor of a high-rise. I have come to her place before, but I've never paid attention. Now is different. Once I get to the second floor, my heart starts pounding hard in my chest. Then I see the door open wide, so I call the police right away.

"Hello, 9-1-1" it was Matt. "I am in a crime scene," I say wasting no time. "Mentor is not going to be happy that you start investing," he says calmly. "Listen if you want to stop me from my investigation then you are doing a mistake because I have set my mind already Matt. I loved Sara, and I will find everything I want to either with the help of a team or not," I say. "fine by me, you are not in the case," he said. I hand up the phone. If they don't want to help me. I can't make them.

I go inside and start to really look around. There's nothing unusual here.  Just when I say that something catches my eyes. I walk to the bed which is made nicely. Too nice. I open the drawer only to see a black-covered diary and a gun right next to it.

Flashback

"I love this music, what is the name again?" I ask Sara as I sit on her bed. "Thanks. Who doesn't," she chuckled. I loved it when she laughed at herself. It made me realize that there's she's really different and unique. "Oh, you keep a diary?" I ask her excitedly as I see a black-covered dairy by her nightstand. "It's personal," she said before grabbing it and putting it under the mattress. "Sorry, I just don't want anyone to read it. Please no hard feelings," she adds. For a split second, I see the guilt on her face, but soon that goes away. "Anyway. Let's play some games," she said changing the subject. I smile dropping the whole diary thing.

What was I thinking?

"UNO," I say showing her the only card in my hand. "I won," she said before she puts a set of cards on the table. "Damn I thought I was going to win this time," I say as I fake pout my bottom lip. "Nice try Avar," Sara said. "Let's have something to see eat right?" She said holding my hand and taking me out of her room.

She didn't want me to stay in her room without her. Why I never asked her how come? I don't know.

"The pasta was like great," I said as I finish the whole plane full of yummy pasta. "you do like my cooking?" She asked giggling. "Well, it's delicious. Where did you learn to make something so delicious? Your parents are cook?" I ask as her eyes go dark. "No, my parents are dead," she said. "Let's call it a night," she suggested.

Why was the topic of her parents is so touchy?

"I smile," you are right. I am kinda tired too. See you later Sara," I said before I walk out of her place.

End of flashback

I am holding the same diary that I was dying to read once upon a time, and there's a gun here. I mean was this gun here in this room the whole time when Sara and I were playing here all those years ago! Wow! I sat on the small bean bag chair, and start to open the diary slowly when "police," I hear police officer just before I read anything.

I close the small black-covered notebook and put it in my purse. "What are you doing here. If the boss knows about you being here.."

"Then what huh? I am the police. I might be dismissed from the case, but I am not done," I say. "Let me know what you find. Please," I request before I leave the place. I can read the diary in my place. I need to know everything, and I'm sure there is a lot I don't know about.

Once I get to the car, Max straightens himself up looking at me. "What?" I ask him when I notice him staring at me. "I just thought that you called cops," he replies looking at the building where I was just in. "Why would I. I mean I am no longer in that case. Anyways let's just not waste our time ok." I reply. "Yea, right!" He says before I take off the car to go.

"I was thinking perhaps it would be nice to call some of our friends to come over," Max says as we get inside. "What friend are you talking about," I ask knowing well there are no friends. "Don't you get tired of all this?" He asks me annoyed. "If you want to leave..." I was cut off by him "no, I'm sorry I just go to my room," I nod to his suggestion. "Now that's what we can do," I tell him before I go to my room.

I close the door and start to change when something falls from my purse to the floor. It's a black-covered notebook. No, wait. I bend and pick it up, it's not any notebook, it's Sara's diary. The one I took from her place!

I open it...
