Part 1
Niall unlocks his door, coming to his empty home. He puts his groceries down and starts unpacking them. The house is too quiet, he hates that part about his house.

"Alexa," He says.

The speaker turns on.

"Play Lewis Capaldi."

"Playing Lewis Capaldi."

Hold me while you wait started playing throughout the house. He misses going out, seeing his friends, going to events. After quarantine started, he's just been cooped up in his house. He does have a big space all too himself, but sometimes he's really just bored of spending time with only himself. He slowly puts away his groceries as the song plays.

A polaroid photo fell on the ground when he opens the fridge. He bends down, picking it up. He lets out a scoff as he looks at the photo. It was him, and the person he loved a long time ago. They both looked really young, young and happy.

He stares at the wide smile the two of them have, her sitting on his lap with her hands stretched out to the sky, and his wrapped around her waist and they laughed at the camera. He turns it around.

'For when you feel unlovable, your biggest fan – y/n'
He lets out a sigh, putting it back where it belongs. He lifts the magnet up and sticks the picture back on the fridge, so she can keep looking at him even when she's not here. The last time they talked was before she left for college two years ago. She came back home a few times throughout, but he was always busy and they kept missing each other, until eventually they just lose contact.

He traces her on the picture lightly, remember her. He lets out a sighs, turning back to the counter to continue unpacking his things. He presses his lips together sighing, his thoughts somewhere else already. What a time they had, what a time.
