The boat rows along the river. He looks ahead to where the boat is moving.

The sound of the paddle splashing in the water and pushing the boat forward fill his ear, along with soft noises of the wind and the flapping of bird wings.

He lets out a smile, feeling peaceful with the nature that is surrounding him.

"By yourself, sir?"

"Yeah," He turns to the rower. "Was supposed to come with my girlfriend but,"

The rower nods, as if understanding.

They didn't have much conversation from the language barrier, and Niall doesn't feel like talking much to begin with.

Another boat passes by next to them. They're a few distance away but he can see there are three people on it, the rower, and a happy couple sitting together with their arms around each other.

"Eh, could be romantic. Then gets boring."

Niall can't help but chuckle at the comment.

He stops rowing for a bit and stretches out his hand. "Want photo for girlfriend?"

Niall smiles at his thoughtfulness and nods. He hands him his phone and leans back on the boat.

"Smile," Multiple snaps are heard. "I take a lot for girlfriend to choose."

Niall chuckles putting his phone back on his pocket. "Thank you."

He turns away from the rower, back to the bright blue waters in between two tall rocks.

This is what you wanted to see, y/n, this is what we wanted to see.

I've been to so many places bringing all our memories with us. Can you feel it, wherever you are?

Because I'm not gonna bring these memories of us back home with me. I'm going to leave it all here, bits and pieces around the world that we never get to see.

He looks down at his phone and opens his gallery, seeing the pictures he took on the Canyon, on the Great Wall, in Alishan, and him on a boat.

He leans back to the rower and puts his phone in the air. "Can we have one together? So I'll have company." The rower gives him a wide smile, nodding.

Niall looks at the scribbling on the paper.

"They're all ridiculous, we'd never be able to see them."

"Why not? People travel there all the time."

"Not us!"

"Why not?"

He sighs looking at her pouting lips before smiling, taking the book from her. "Okay, okay." He wraps his arms around her. "We'll see them."
