Forth's POV

That was probably the worst night out that I've ever had. Not only did we barely have any time to drink and enjoy what little freedom we have before classes start again, but that worm Park turned the night into a disaster by harassing Yo.

I need to talk to Ming and make sure that Yo's okay. I called him, but when he answered he just said that Yo was fine for now and we'd talk about it tomorrow.

I like to be in the middle of the action. I'm the guy who protects people, I'm the guy who makes sure things get done. I'm used to the idea that Ming is protecting Yo, but ever since I met Yo in person, I want to protect him too. Now, instead of helping, I'm waiting to hear if he's alright and feeling totally out of the loop. As of tomorrow, that's going to change. I want to know what happened and I'm going to make sure nothing else hurts Yo.

When the morning came, I was excited to go to the Moon & Star practice, so that I could see Yo and talk to Ming. The first break is finally here. Ging was making all of the past Moons and Stars come to support the freshman contestants, but most of the time we just stood around looking useless. I've been waiting all morning just to talk to Ming about what happened yesterday at the club.

"We need to talk," I said, rushing straight to Ming as soon as the break is called.

Yo is still in the practice room, talking to a couple of Moons and Stars as Ming and I walk out to the courtyard.

"I can't right now," Ming said. "I can't just leave Yo."

"I'll stay with him," Pha said, interrupting my reply.

"I'm sure you'd be happy to stay with him," Ming said, "but I don't need someone to flirt with him. I need someone who can protect him."

"I'm not useless," Pha said angrily. "I'm fully capable of protecting him."

Ming appears to be trying to gauge Pha's capability. Truth be told, I have no idea if Pha's ever even been in a fight before. Ming's expression says there is no way he's trusting Pha to watch over his friend, so I'm considering asking Yo to join us when a tall, well-muscled man with brown hair walks up to Ming.

"I'll be staying with Master Yo until Joss says otherwise," the stranger said. "You may rely on me to keep him safe."

"Thanks, New," Ming said. "I'll be back as soon as I can, but make sure that Yo gets something to eat. He's probably starving by now."

Pha looked at New like he'd happily throttle him. New just ignored him and walked over to Yo. Ming doesn't spare Pha a glance either, he just walked away, so I followed him trying to hold back my laughter. We grabbed some snacks and walked to a quiet area to sit and talk.

"Okay, let's get this over with," Ming said, taking a deep breath.

"What are you talking about?" I asked. "I just want to know what's going on, what's with all the drama? I thought you wanted my help keeping Yo safe? You've never kept things from me before."

I'm ranting, but just a little.

"I know," Ming said. "I want to tell you. Yo's dad and I already decided we would have to ask for additional help because the regular security won't be enough now that Yo refuses to let them follow him everywhere. I've just never had to explain before."

"I know that Yo's family is wealthy, but Joss and that guy, New, are they bodyguards?" I asked. "Has Yo been receiving threats?"

"They are Yo's personal security. I'm not really sure where to start," Ming replied. "Yo's family isn't just wealthy. As the sole heir, Yo is one of the richest men in Thailand. But that's not why we're worried about his safety. In fact, his wealth is what makes it possible to pay for the kind of security that it takes to properly protect him."
