Kao's POV

Okay, so maybe fighting during Yo's attempt to rescue Korn hadn't been well thought out, but I didn't like that guy putting my angel boy in danger. Granted, I had overreacted, but it all worked out in the end. Yo forgave me and even gave me a big hug. He'd been worried about me. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I loved knowing that he cared about me the way I cared about him.

Korn's job offer came as an unpleasant surprise. I knew Joss wanted to add someone to Yo's personal security, so that we could all have more time for ourselves or to go on vacations or have sick days, but it never occurred to me that Yo would want to hire a stranger. Don't get me wrong, he seemed like a nice guy, as guys go. He looked decent and he had tried to protect Yo. He was also a decent fighter. But Korn didn't understand Yo's gifts.

"You know you can't make him part of your personal security team, right?" Ming asked. Thank you! It wasn't just me. "He doesn't know your secrets. I thought you were just making up some excuse for talking to him, but he actually said yes."

"I'm going to tell him," Yo said, unconcerned.

"Oh no you're not!" Kris said with his boss's voice. That was the voice that expected to be obeyed. Too bad, Yo wasn't really the blind obedience type.

"Don't worry, dad," Yo said, smiling sweetly, "it's going to be okay. It might even be a little bit of a relief for him. Trust me."

Yo was patting his dad's hand calmly. Yo must know something and I had to trust that he knew what was best. Kris was demanding his cell phone back, saying he had to get more in depth information about Korn first, but Yo refused. Adventure rules must be obeyed.

Yo decided to invite Korn with us for our day of fun and we all headed out. I loved adventure trips. This was when Yo really shined like an angel. He always knew just what would be the most fun for all of us. He smiled at everyone we met, quietly making the world a better place.

We went wake-boarding, rock climbing, and visited an upside-down house. It was literally upside-down, with the chandelier on the floor and the furniture on the ceiling. Yo loved it, he kept talking about Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. I'd read the first book years ago, when we'd visited the upside-down house for the first time, and loved the story immediately. It was the perfect children's books, full of what looked like magic, but was really just being smart and thinking like a kid. It would probably be a decent guide to parenting, if you asked me.

Tuesday was more time spent at the beach, but unfortunately we had to cut short the fun and return home. As far as I was concerned, Yo would be better off never going back to that university with that stupid man Phana. I'd originally thought that his obsession with Yo was kind of charming and would keep him in line, that maybe he would be a good boyfriend. Instead, he'd ended up hurting my angel brother twice. I could wish that Yo would hate Pha as much as I did, but Yo wasn't that kind of person. He was far too forgiving.

The private plane back home seemed to awe Korn. I couldn't blame him, Yo's family wealth was awe inspiring even for people who grew up with money. We all went to the family home, and Yo decided it was time to tell Korn the truth. First, we introduced Joss and New and showed Korn around the house.

"Why is everybody acting so weird?" Korn asked awkwardly when we all followed quietly into Kris's office. The rest of us were all nervous, but Yo was calm.

"They're all worried, because I'm going to tell you a secret and they don't know what will happen," Yo said, sitting down next to Korn and taking his hands. A lot of guys found that kind of touching strange, but it didn't seem to bother Korn. At least that was a good sign.

I stood to the side, trying to give them space. When Yo had told me the truth, I'd been freaked out, but oddly comforted. It explained so much about how I met Yo and why he always knew so much. I knew I needed to let them talk, but I wanted to be there to support Yo. I wasn't the only one, Ming and Kris as well as Joss and New were all standing around watching.
